I've never had pozole and have been trying to find it for a while. A lot of places have it on their menu on the weekends, but then are out by the time I get there, or they simply didn't make it that weekend. But I finally found some at Maria's. Obviously I can't compare it to other pozole, but it was good. A bit bland, so I spiced it up a little. What I really liked here was their complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were fresh and delicious, and we had three kinds of salsa with them. My wife got a chicken torta, and the thing was huge. Half of it would have been a decent meal. The service was good, and the decor is nice, but quite cramped. I think there are only 7 tables, so try to get there early. The prices were quite reasonable.

Stopped by for dinner with colleagues and was impressed. The patio is modern and comfortable; very chill ambiance. The selection of tacos was as eclectic as it was delicious and the cucumber margarita with habanero infused tequila was so good on a hot summer evening. Definitely recommend literally everything on the menu.

Our group of six had a good experience here. The ingredients and preparation were first-class.We were impressed by the VERY friendly service and the reasonable prices. My Burrito Lengua was delicious, and the portion was generous.I will recommend this place to anyone who appreciates Mexican food the way it is served in Mexico.

This is a new restaurant in town....and I hope they succeed...we went for the first time a few nights ago...service was quick and friendly...Dinner, with beverages, for two of us was $21.00....This used to be a Wendy;s Restaurant...you order at the counter and I assumed they would call our number and we would go get it, but we got table service...Good chips and salsa brought to the table..free...There are a couple of unobtrusive TV's....No background music (Thank God) The restaurant is very clean. It impressed me that we were greeted when we waked in and were wished a 'Good evening" when we left...it really seems like they care...The menu is varied...lots of Mexican standards and all prepared after you order...so everything is very fresh...I had the steak torta and it was perfect...fresh bread, flavorful steak...My husband had tacos and he said they were really good...the beef was spiced perfectly and the lettuce, tomato and onion were all very crisp...we hate soggy lettuce !!!I would most certainly go back again and try something new from the menu...

A restaurant chain with locations throughout Northern Illinois, offering a tapas-style inspired latin fusion cuisine of classic dishes with infused new flavors from Spain, Mexico, and South America. Sunday Available for parties only
I hope they make it, certainly deserve to, but the location is a serious problem. To get into the restaurant is very challenging - no matter which way you are approaching, and equally as challenging to leave. That said they have fantastic margaritas, really outstanding gourmet tacos. Pleasant staff, nice decor (maybe a bit dark), small space feels intimate.

Haven't been here for a while, so tonight seemed like a good time. Got there about 7:45...outdoor patio was full, but inside it was cool and quiet. Excellent service by Adrianna...delicious dinner...we started with ground beef nachos, then shared a platter of steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas....cooked perfectly, the shrimp were sweet and juicy, the steak perfectly seasoned and the chicken was tender and moist....a lovely dinner. The background music was a nice level for conversation.....So glad we chose this restaurant.
