My husband and I stop here often for a cool, comfortable, tasty Mexican treat. We love the guacamole, the tamales and the fajitas. I really like the fact that you can create your own combinations and mix and match. We've never tried any of the drinks, so I can comment on those. There's also a nice patio and it's fun to see the large planters filled with a variety of growing peppers.

We stopped to have at least one meal in Mississippi. La Chula was the most inviting amongst what we saw.Average food with good taste but no heartblood in preparation. Mediocre yet friendly service. And overall - as written before - no real passion.

We stopped in here hungry, not knowing what to expect. What a nice surprise to find friendly staff and good food. I loved that they brought a small "decanter" of salsa with a bowl for each of us to use separately with their delicious chips. My husband's bowl of tortilla soup was huge and full of hearty vegetables. My carne asada was wonderful and so filling. We left full and happy - wishing this restaurant had a Houston location!

Poor service combined with lackluster food means I donât think weâll be back anytime soon. Most Mexican restaurants have comparable fare and prices, but practically everything we ordered was cold (Chile rellenos), spoiled (garden salad) or not what we ordered. Nice place for a restaurant but what a wasted effort.
