Food here is made in large portions, you wont leave hungry. The meat is cooked slow and fresh, never microwaved. It takes time to prepare fresh food that's why on the menu it states allow 30 minutes. The staff is friendly and drinks are delicious a must try.

I had to put in a review for this location, the staff were very friendly. My friend is some what picky, not by choice and the staff not only followed her requests but they didn't give any attitude or grief about it.

Stopped for lunch on way thru Wausau from Stevens Point. Food was very good. Service was quick and efficient. We arrived just before a crowd but they were well staffed and worked thru the line quickly.

A recommendation by our innkeeper is what caused us to stop at LaTaqueria. I was expecting a sit down restaurant with ambience. Instead, we pulled up to what appeared to be a fairly new, fast food restaurant. Disappointment soon turned into happiness. The chicken tacos and shrimp tacos were authentically delicious, as were the rice and beans. An order of chips and salsa were enough for two of us to share. While we didn't indulge, the desserts in the refrigerated cases looked scrumptious.

Comfortable Mexican Reataurante in Washington Square in downtown Wausau. Good and service. Outside seating during warmer times of year. Good selection of tap beers. A fun place at a reasonable price

The food was great, good selection of beer, everything looked clean, respectful knowledgable wait staff. Not eco friendly in at least 2 areas. All water glasses brought to the table with straws already unwrapped & didn't think to say didn't want them. AND only large styrofoam containers for leftovers. Might seem trivial but most people don't need straws & they fill up the landfills & who still uses styrofoam?

Don't judge a book by its cover. Embarrassingly, I had passed on this restaurant before, simply because of its outside appearance. I saw a recent write up in our local periodical and I reminded myself that the other Mexican food noted as top rated in Wausau is entirely over priced and honestly over rated, and that I should give this place a shot. Wow am I glad I did! I don't want to restate what other reviewers have already described in terms of the food offerings. I'll just say I haven't had tacos like that in Wisconsin. I have to go home to New Mexico or or travel to Mexico to enjoy the quality and the variety offered by Tres Hermanos and at exceptionally reasonable prices. I can't forget to mention the terrific service. This is truly a family restaurant experience and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
