Interesting menu in an eclectic surrounding. If you like your Mexican dishes on the mild side and the atmosphere a little bit on the loud side with a bar in the middle than you're in the right place. Good for larger crowds as well as families with little children. The food is decent , service good and prices reasonable.
Had to try for dinner one evening. Chicken Burrito after a friend told me that Chipolte was a spinoff. This place was not as good as the Chipolte in Des Moines. But its food and edible.

Waterloo and Cedar Falls has a lot of mexican restaurants, both sit down and fast food and to stand out must be a challenge. The Three Amigos even have two others within four blocks of each other. They are trying to take the high road by having a nice, quiet atmosphere and delivering good food and service. This location was formerly a popular local family restaurant under several different names over the years. But the interior looks recently updated and the booths are high backed which gives the feeling of privacy. The food is somewhat standard but well presented. My recommendation is the "Three Amigos" which, while a bit pricey has not only a thin piece of steak ( which you can sliver up into fajitas ) but 9 or 10 pieces of bacon wrapped shrimp. And who doesn't like shrimp and bacon ( well, everyone likes bacon ). It is a large meal that would be difficult for anyone to finish. The enchiladas are very good, also. Their margaritas are excellent and typically one is a nightly special. I haven't been here for lunch but have been told their prices and portions are very good. If you haven't tried this place yet. I definitely think it is worth a visit.

Blue Iguana Mexican American Cantina is located on the main level of the Courtyard by Marriott Waterloo Cedar Falls. The Blue Iguana is a great place to relax with family and friends while enjoying delicious food and exquisite cocktails. Whether you are l
Our first experience shortly after they opened was fantastic, best restaurant in the Cedar Valley. We were told that the chef was training those who would cook thereafter. Our second visit now two months later was very different. The beef ribs were very greasy, the salad overdressed with way too many cheese curds. If you order a main dish, you need something other than just meat or shrimp to go with it. This is a restaurant with immense potential but the menu needs some tweaking and the quality of food reaching the table needs some attention.

I walked into the restaurant, thinking maybe I had chosen a bad time, as it was mostly empty. However, that feeling passed when I got my order - the chorizo burrito....YUM! Filled with home-made beans, lots of cheese, rice, and plenty of sauces for sides. Add to that their signature Margarita, and the meal was complete - no doggie bag needed! On the list of favorite places to eat.

Yes, they have wonderful Americanized Mexican food. But today I'm writing this review to tell you about their amazing hamburgers and cheeseburgers. I've had numerous people tell me that Rudy's has the best burger in the Cedar Valley, and today I experienced that for myself. It is a MASSIVE burger, very well grilled and just extremely tasty beef. A very large quantity of delicious cheese on top. They can top it with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard, and all the other standard stuff. Tastes like a fresh Bakery bun. We've been here numerous times and I have always enjoyed the delicious Mexican food, but now I know I can bring my friends who don't enjoy Mexican and they will still have a tremendous dining experience.

Donât make the mistake i made for years. I overlooked this place because it still looks like a drive thru joint. This place is my new favorite for mexican. Been here twice now and didnt disappoint. Try one of the daily specials. The standard tacos are pretty good too.

We were traveling through and searching for a unique dining experience. Chapala exceeded our expectations. Our server was quick to bring waters to our table, refill as needed, brief us on their offerings and was at our beckon throughout our marvelous meal extravaganza. We sampled a number of dishesâall exceptional. See pics. Servings were ample, tasty and transported us to utter fulfillment. We had plenty of leftovers to savor anew the next day. This is an amazing find for weary travelersâso convenient for an efficient pull off. Road warriors will appreciate the almost seamlessly return to getting back on the highway. We could not be mire pleased with our Chapala experience.
