I live about a mile from the Jalapeños in Clarkston and eat there often. The food is excellent! They bring you 3 types of salsa when you sit down, and the guacamole salsa is not only delicious but unique! The chips are homemade and we always go through more than one basket. I always get the chicken wet burritos (but be sure to tell them to hold the jalapenos if you do not want them). The food is great, the staff friendly, and the prices reasonable. It is always busy and is one of the best local restaurants. I have not visited the Pontiac location but have heard that the food is even better there.

Had friends in from Grand Rapids and they wanted Mexican, so we gave this place another shot. Same result as my first time here. Wednesday evening, mostly empty restaurant. Waitress delivers food and doesn't come back. Had to ask for waitress for a water refill (meal almost over), she seemed bored and disinterested. Food was "meh". Not horrible, not good. In fairness, chips good and salsa very good. Much better options elsewhere for Mexican food. Won't be back.
I really did want this place to be good...unfortunately it wasn't. From mildew tasting water, overly sour mix in the margarita, and the flashing lights in my eyes (they have a dance floor I guess, but it was too early for flashing lights), my overall impression was disappointment. The chimi was ok I guess, and my friend's tacos were authentic. Nothing to cross the Waterford border for...

The food here is overall pretty decent (3 stars) but the nachos are to die for! Not cheap but really really good. I mean like outstandingly good. So much melted cheese and generous toppings. Oh, and the beers are really cold! Watch out for the potholes on Telegraph Rd though.

This is exactly what it promises to be, authentic Mexican food with friendly service with no frills. Real deal and very good food! Loved everything!

This wonderful local eatery has Greek and Mexican cuisine and combinations of both. They also have a huge menu, including American favorites and breakfast served, all day. Terrific portion size, great service and affordable pricing make this place a winner.

Love the food. Chips and 3 salsas are brought to diners. All three are tasty! The owner and staff were friendly and welcoming. It is a busy place - so the food is fresh! Each dish we have tried has been tasty. Vegetarian options are available.

Itâs a little loud and lighting could be better. Food was great but modest portions. Service was good and fast. They had several large parties that night but it was only a 10 minute wait to get seated. Parking can be a hassle when theyâre busy. Prices were good too. Chicken fajitas were very tasty!

People said you have to go, but I am not sure why. They may have had a better experience. The food was ok, nothing that screamed authentic Mexican. I really feel there could be a better Mexican offering around. Restaurant is not clean and I am not looking to go back any time soon.

From burritos to enchiladas you will discover many new takes on traditional Latin food options. With seafood blends beyond fish and sweet potato enchilada, your taste buds will be on fire. You cannot go wrong with the fresh made Guacamole and tortillas (corn) chips. They also have an amazing shredded brussle sprout side that delivers madd flavors. If you are to choose a house specialty drink , the honcho margarita is a good idea with natural juices (no sweet and sour mix) and agave tequila. To put some yeast on the end of your meal, the warm and fresh mini-cinnamon donuts might will calm your eyes and spring you forward to chocolate or caramel dipping sauce options. The only caution to this establishment is the wait for seating on the weekends.
