It's very interesting to me that this restaurant seems to score very well on here and on Google reviews, though I had a somewhat different experience than most, it seems.I wouldn't say that this restaurant is bad, but I definitely have little intention to return. If a group of friends chose this place, ok sure I'd go along. But if my husband and I are picking a place to go for a meal, I would look elsewhere. The food is good, I will give it that. But nothing spectacular. Nothing I haven't had before at every other Mexican restaurant with brightly colored decor, carved wooden chairs, and colored stoneware plates. Kind of a carbon copy of other places I've been throughout the years. That being said, this restaurant would've still been just fine in my book, if weren't for two things: price and service. Our waiter was stand-offish and seemed impatient, as if he had somewhere else to be. He didn't smile. Didn't engage us in the slightest. Very uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Price-wise, it certainly isn't cheap. As I've said, I've been to cookie-cutter replicas of this type of restaurant oodles of times, so I know what to expect. This place was on the higher end of ones I've been to before, but I'm still salty that I was overcharged. I paid a hefty price for fajitas, only to find out when we got our bill that I was charged for the tortillas on top of the price for the meal. I have never, ever seen that pulled before. In no way was my veggie fajitas plate worth $16. Especially considering I got maybe one tablespoon of guac and 1 tablespoon of pico. Now, I know what you're thinking - why didn't I say something? Well, to be honest, I did plan to. When I saw this on our check, I expected to pay at the register on our way out, so I could've addressed this with the cashier. I didn't feel comfortable bringing this up to our waiter, plus we were on a double date and I didn't want to look cheap in front of our new friends. But unfortunately the waiter took our cards up himself, so I just let it go. All in all, it's not a bad place per se, but just beware when the check comes, and speak up if you see unexpected charges. Who knows, maybe Mr. Personality is no longer even with them. You may have a better go of it than we did. Good luck!

If you're tired of all the Tex-Mex places with the same menus, same decor, same everything. Chili Verde focuses on New Mexican recipes and they do a great job on everything. They are the only restaurant in town that serves roasted green chilies in a number of entrees and they can be added to almost anything. Several options for vegetarians and they are happy to adapt other meals to not include meat. Service is consistently friendly and fast. Highly recommended.

We stopped at Condado for lunch -- it was our first time visiting. Our waitress was upbeat and fun, and explain clearly how to order and what her recommendations were. We ordered the trio of starters (guacamole, salsa and queso). Corn salsa wasn't our favorite, but it was very fresh. Guacamole and queso were excellent. For tacos, we ordered a build-yourself with ground beef and cheese; and then the "ooey-gooey," "el tradicional," and "lucy's fire." The last two were our preferred. Overall, we can see why this place is busy -- great location and very friendly service. And then, of course, the tacos are tasty.

We like eating here. Today first try of the fried fish tacos - delicious! I look forward to having them again. Husband had taco salad and enjoyed it. I like that too! 4 stars as service was unusually slow, but we werenât in a hurry.
