Had dinner here for the first time during a recent stay. I ordered the Chicken Chimichanga dinner. The chicken was basically bland and unimpressive. There was a decent amout of food, but it wasn't all that great. The chips and salsa are more like salsa and deep fried tortilla slices. Overall, if you've had much a chance to sample good Mexican fare at other places, this probably won't be your favorite stop. That said, Torrington is a small town with very limited dining options, so perhaps I shouldn't have expected too much.

there arent many choices in torrington but steer clear of this place - total ripoff and sour staff. charged us $1 for salsa with an $11 combo plate - they got my order totally wrong and poured cheese over everything ( this after explaining to the waitress no less than 6x when ordering NO CHEESE) they refused to take it back and charged me for the entree. poor customer service and the cook has a terrible attitude. lesson learned - - EAT IN CHEYENNE

The choices for dining in Torrington are pretty slim but when we're here we usually choose Grampa Chuy's. We refer to it somewhat playfully/truthfully as Grampa Clumpy's; it's basic greasy Mexican food. The cheese is Velveeta and the sour cream comes in a foil packet. Still it's better than any of the other options in town.
At Taco John's®, we serve traditional Mexican food-with a twist. By fusing bold American flavors with south-of-the-border spice, we've defined our signature menu. From our trademark Potato Olés® and freshly prepared tacos to our infamous breakfast burrito
Ok, so it is fast food, but no one can beat a six pack and a pound! We live where we don't have a Taco John's and frequently comment how much we would love to have some Taco John's. Heck, we have even tried to get the corporate office to sell us a franchise here where we live. It would make a mint since there is only boring old taco bell in these parts for a quick taco.
