Standard Taco Bell so you know what you will get. Because this is a tourist area prices were slightly higher than normal but they still had the $1 special menu and they had free senior drinks. We have lunch here several times every time we visit Big Bear Lake.

When we stayed in Travelodge, we didnât want to go into village to have dinner. So we tried Azteca and it was pretty good. Inside seating was full when we arrived so we were gonna sit outside patio (which was covered up with heat lamp) but it was still too cold so luckily it was like just 10-15min for an inside table. We had fajita trio, abondigas soup, my son had a burger. Food was pretty good, and price was reasonable (not that much higher for a resort town). It was a busy night and service was generally good.

It has been awhile since we were here. At that time they had a beer/wine license. The food has very good with ample portions. If you need to have a real Margarita, there are better choices otherwise I nice stop.

First time in Big Bear and a friend recommended Gaby's and we loved it. It's very casual. - Gaby greeted us and told us what to order. We loved the chips and delicious salsas - the green one is very hot! Try the Palto salad (avocado)and the other Bolivian entrees - we had the picante chicken and the Churasco (ribeye and sausage) that come out on a hot, splattering plate. Everything tasted homemade, service was really quick and they are very friendly.

We always enjoy going here on Wednesday evenings for the dollar menu and great Margarita's! The patio is always a lovely place to eat during the summer months. The owners and the staff are always very accommodating.

Located in Bear City, a few miles east of the main tourist area, is a small restaurant the locals love. I first ate here when I saw several service vehicles parked outside. When that many locals are eating here you know the food has to be good. Don't let the building fool you, the food inside is excellent. Been there several times and breakfast and dinner meals didn't disappoint. Excellent food, good sized portions, and priced right. Give it try.

We were a party of 5 on a bike tour. Peppercorn Grille was our first choice, but had to wait too long. So we tried El Jacalito and were very satisfied. Great enchiladas, tasty, seared to perfection. The Bistek Picado was a treat. Big portions and sure enough for the price. Nice ambiente too, and efficient staff. Would have loved to see one or two more smiles on their faces, but the location was packed (we've been there on a saturday night). Absolutely recommendable.

My wife and I are locals in the Big Bear Valley and a friend recommended we visit the Cocina de Mexico. The restaurant is a small "hole in the wall" and is nothing fancy however, the burritos are huge and you won't go away hungry. The burrito prices vary depending on what you want in it (generally 5.99 - 8.99). Several different food items are offered and everything looked (and tasted) like it was fresh and home made. I would recommend this location to anyone that finds themselves in the Big Bear City area and in need of a good Mexican style meal.
