I enjoyed a yummy meal when my husband and I stopped by, but the wait people didn't seem excited to jump up from their own seats to wait on us although we were the only customers in house. I would go back again because the food was good for the price.

I looked up breakfast spots on TripAdvisor and saw the great reviews. We traveled about 15 minutes to get to the restaurant only to find it closed.
We tried this new restaurant after hearing about the success of two other locations in the area. The inside seating area is not very large, but an uncovered outside seating area is available during good weather. The majority of the offerings are Mexican, not Tex-Mex, which means food is not covered in lettuce, tomatoes and mounds of cheese. The menu offers a number of lunch/dinner selections, but apparently the portions are the same for either meal. The complimentary chips are thicker than those available in many restaurants; the inhouse-made salsa was thin but well seasoned. I ordered the al pastor (pork) platter and got a huge serving of meat that was tasty and spicy. The meal came with sliced avocado, rice, charro beans, finely chopped onion and cilantro, well-seasoned nopalitos (prickly pear cactus strips), and two homemade tortillas. My partner ordered the barbacoa platter. This is often only offered in weekends in the area, so was glad to be able to order it on a weekday. Again, there was a generous serving of meat, but it was a bit bland. The sides with it were pico de gallo, guacamole, charro beans and rice. We arrived during the lunch rush, but our food was delivered quickly. My only complaint is that after our food was delivered, our waitress ignored us, not returning to refill our drinks or replenish chips and salsa. Each table has a visible number displayed. The customer checks are held at the register, and when you are ready to leave, you give the cashier your table number. This wasn't explained to us so there was a bit of frustration waiting for the check to arrive. The restaurant has a full menu offering breakfast, both Mexican and American, and a wide variety of appetizers. There are quite a few Mexican restaurants in our area, but this is one that offers a few items not commonly offered in a Tex-Mex restaurant. The servings are also extremely generous; we didn't leave hungry! We definitely enjoyed it and will add it to our area restaurant rotation.

First time at Sandraâs. Ordered non-grill items. Waited over a half hour to get our food after ordering. Everyone around us was frustrated. One family just put heir food straight into to-go boxes and left. The tortilla soup was crazy salty. The burrito came on a plate swimming in some brown sauce that was mostly grease. I rescued it onto a fresh plate. My wife ordered a taco and said âjust make sure thereâs plenty of lettuceâ. We got the bill and there was literally an extra charge for âlettuceâ. They also charged for tortillas. Hereâs a good rule of thumb for all Mexican food goers, if the joint is charging for tortillas and nickel and diming you in every way possible, the food is likely underwhelming. They are almost assuredly cutting corners and pinching pennies on ingredients as well. It showed at Sandraâs. Bummer.

We have tried nearly all the Mexican food restaurants in the Spring Branch/Bulverde area hoping to find a good one. Our search continues. The margaritas probably have tequila in them although you will not taste it. The For One steak fajitas come on a huge platter and can easily feed two. Not that you would want to because they are very bland and the fixings are skimpy. The shrimp fajitas faired no better. The restaurant is nice, the folks are nice, however there is nothing we found food wise to recommend this restaurant.

Very friendly and informative wait staff. They are willing to substitute anything to provide you with excellent service. The food was very good.

Everything was poorly seasoned and uninspired. I have eaten thousands of burritos but this is 1st time I have had one filled with lettuce, yes about 1/3 of filling was lettuce, and tough, chewy tortilla had to be cut with a steak knife. Salsa served with the chips would not be too spicy for a small child - I had to go out to my car & get hot sauce to spice up everything. We won't be back.

On any morning, you cannot miss this little yellow place on Hwy 46 with lots of pickup trucks outside. A favorite place for picking us breakfast tacos on the way to work or to Canyon Lake. We often make a taco run on weekend mornings even though it is about a twelve mile round trip. The one complaint I have is that I like bacon, cheese and egg tacos on corn tortillas. They seldom have corn tortillas ready so you have to wait a bit longer (but they are fresh) and they premix the bacon and eggs together so the bacon is soggy, not crisp. You can ask them to use the fried bacon, but then they charge you and extra $.50 as an add-on.

Excellent food and great service. Breakfast, lunch and dinner foods are all great. Prices are really good too.Barbacoa is excellent and they have some excellent corn tortillas.

We had dinner with family and my wifeâs service puppy. Very friendly staff at the reception desk and at our table. Portions were over the top in size, and the quality was equally good. I want to go back again very soon. BTW - great side dishes as well.
