My wife and I recently ate at the newly opened Herencia in Southlake. I decided to try something out of the norm for a Mexican restaurant and Iâm very glad I did. The grilled meatloaf with roasted jalapeno, sofrito sauce and Gordito tamale was excellent! So full of flavor. The salsa was warm and absolutely delicious. My wife enjoyed her carne asada. We didnât care the chicken tortilla soup. It was full of tender chicken, but we didnât care for the squash and zucchini in the soup. The staff was friendly and attentive. And a good selection of tequilas made me happy. Overall we will go back and were pleased with our visit. We just wonât order the soup.

We stopped in for an early weekday dinner. While there was some good about it, it didnât live up to the hype for us. Pros:- The space is awesome. Itâs very nicely done. - Service was great from everyone. - The carnitas sopas appetizer was outstanding. Thatâs going to be my meal next time. Cons:- I had the Hatch tacos. Though the filling was okay (just okay) I was really disappointed with the blue corn tortillas. Though they purport to be handmade, they really tasted like they were out of a box - kind of bland and flavorless. I lived in NM before, these tasted nothing close to the great ones you can get at even the cheapest roadside diner in NM, much less the high-end places. - My companion had the enchiladas del mar. While the seafood was good, the tortillas were not - they were with out âbiteâ - spongy like Ethiopian bread and not good. If Mi Dia can improve their tortillas, theyâd be up to the hype, but without getting that basic thing right they arenât there. Work on your masa recipes guys. Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback! We appreciate knowing where we can improve. We hope that you join us again in the future!

This is four star Quick Service. Great flavors. Tortilla soup had awesome flavors in the broth and mix in ingredients that it is hard not to get. Daily specials are tasty. Limited beer and cocktails available. I'd go here ten times out of ten over Chipotle. If my wife ever has trouble deciding where to eat...just mention this place and she'll be there.

Great place to take a family for dinner. Also good for couples. Guacamole made fresh at the table...excellent. This place very much exceeded expectations and I'm sure we will return again.

Stayed at a hotel not too far and found this restaurant while goggling places to eat. Food was awesome, drinks were awesome and the service was even better. Not much of a wait on an early Saturday evening and food was prepared quickly. Definitely recommend.

I am not a huge fan of Mexican food but tonightâs dinner was very satisfying. Everything I had was very good. The portions were very sizable. Very nice atmosphere.

You would almost have to already know where it is....or just look for the cars and people in front of the cafe. Located within a small shopping center, Torchy's obviously is a known place for locals. Going on errands with family from the area. We want walk-up Mexican food...hmmm, Let's go to Torchy's!!! Perfect. Unique variations of tacos, quesadillas, and tostatas. I'd say it was pretty authentic food for a walk in cafe. Food defo had a kick but I liked it. Quac was too spicy for our toddler but she will learn.

Quick service, good food and fantastic atmosphere. We set on the patio street side. Enjoyed our meal and service was very good. Could easily split either plate because portions are generous. Brisket quesadilla were excellent and my daughter had the enchilada plate. Next time we will split because i really wanted to try their tortilla soup. Leftovers for tomorrow.
