La Frontera Mexican Grill

Excellent food in a delightful colorful setting.

Very good appetizers. We had the empanada dish and the shrimp platter. The main courses were fair. Entree choice was Lahambra and Pechuga.. The safrin rice was dry and the lahambra was very salty. No sour cream provided. The pechuga was chicken stuffed with crabmeat. My dinner guest was not impressed. The service was excellent , although they only have (15) tables.

We were looking for a good, solid local place for dinner and found Victoria's on Yelp. The strongly positive comments we read were consistent with our experience: pretty plates, well prepared and tasty, served in a setting that is obviously close to Victoria's heart. In fact, I'm pretty sure Victoria brought us our plates - how often does that happen in those famous places?? Apparently, most restaurants in New Jersey don't serve alcohol, and Victoria's doesn't either, but it seemed weird to be in a Mexican restaurant where the closest thing you could get to a Margarita was Victoria's strongly lime-flavored "lemonade." If you're looking for good Mexican food in a friendly, personal setting, I'd recommend you stop by and let Victoria take care of you.

Good Mexican food at moderate prices. Restaurant was a little noisy . Service was fast as was food preparation. Everything tasted good but nothing was exceptional. A lot of specials along with extensive menu made choosing a task.Would probably come again.
