We arrived at 514pm on Saturday night and wait was only 15 min. Seated next to the kitchen waste area. Lovely. Food was bland and unappealing. Barely warm. Server would flit in and ask a question then disappear. No real interest in service. Rest room was disgustingly dirty. Manager was chatting with the employees in the back but not interested in the restaurant. Server would clean the tables of dishes, then go sit down in the back and wrap âcleanâ silverware with a napkin. No evidence of cleaning hands (like, how about hand sanitizer at least) . Music was loud and screeching. Dessert was probably the worst flan I have ever seen or tasted. This is not on my list for a repeat.

We will often hit Alebrije's for lunch when we want to get out of the office. We usually have 8-10 in our party and they always have room to seat us. I Usually get a combo platter so I can try a couple of items and always leave full, and satisfied. The chips and salsa are always a great start to our meal, make sure you get the hot salsa!

Chipotle is always good for the food quality. I had the chicken tacos. This trip it seemed like I had to ask for everything like beans, rice, etc, they went right to putting the chicken in. The staff seemed put out anytime you asked for something. They were busy talking amongst themselves. I go to this Chipotle often and this was the first negative experience I have had.

We've been here often and it is one of our favorite places to go. The service is excellent, the wait time is nil, and the dishes are always hot, not that "luke warm" type from other restaurants that are simply nuked. They often have someone playing the guitar, singing songs and getting the crowd involved. At Alberije's, you know the meals are made to order. If you're in Berks County and like Mexican food, Alberije's is the place to go!
