I originally asked for a plain quesadilla via drive thru the price was over 3 dollars. Really for a small flour tortilla and a bit of cheese? Hmmmmm.....no..so I changed it to a tostada. VERY VERY little cheese..and yes, I understand it is Taco Bell..but still..not a good visit. See attached picture. Will complain to management next time I stop by.

We have gone to Robertacos twice now while in San Ysidro at the Outlet Malls shopping. The first time we were looking for some authentic Mexican food and we heard this place had really great tacos. It's just a few minutes drive from the Outlet Malls in San Ysidro on the border. The parking lot is VERY small but both times we managed to find a spot. Also, they have a drive through in the back. I don't think it's advertised or there is any sign but the people going know it's there hidden in the back. Very typical type Mexican place that you might see in Tijuana. The food is very authentic and the workers there all are Mexican as well. It's a small place but they have several seats in there.Very simple place but they have some good food. If you're in San Ysidro shopping at the malls and want some authentic Mexican food, it's a good spot for that. You can use a debit card but they charge you $1 to use your debit card vs cash.
Food was amazing! Baja Fiesta sampler is highly recommended to try different food items they offer, you can ask for half-size for smaller portion. The fish tacos were the reason we tried this place, and we left fully satisfied. The beans and rice were great combination to contrast the crunchy tacos or chimichangas. They had various salsa and fresh chili on display buffet style, and the habanero salsa was my favorite.
This is an endorsement of our local taco shop. Tacos El Guero is located just north of I-5, Exit #2, in a little shopping center. It's adjacent to the RV park where we've had our motorhome the past two months. It's been quite a find. The staff is friendly, the service is fast, the food is great and is quite affordable. There are tables, both inside and out but it seems many of us are getting our orders to go. You call ahead or order at the counter. The will give you containers and a plastic bag so you can serve yourself at the salsa bar. The rojo, verde and pico are freshly made daily and are all very tasty. The menu sports the standards; tacos, burritos, rellenos, tortas and even hotdogs and fries. Soft drinks are available, no alcoholic beverages. The hours are from 7am to 10pm.I have been feasting on the Carne Asada burritos and recently started dropping in for the Muchaca Breakfast burrito. These burritos are made with 18" tortillas and are HUGE! They are $5 and $4 respectively and can easily feed two people. If you find yourself hungry and at the south end of I-5, skip all the chain fast food places nearby and go to El Guero. You'll be happy you did!

Found this restaurant through Yelp and its a good cheap Mexican food place. If you're heading to Las Americas Outlet, its on the other side of the I5 and definitely worth the stop. The cashier picked out 6 items for us to try and it was amazing. She even gave us some soup and tea and a rice drink to sample.

This little business kiosk is at Las America's outlet mall near the food court in San Ysidro. Came here with my son as we had bought a Groupon discount coupon. We got the Churros that looks like a banana split. Big enough (huge) for us to share. OMG!!! It was soooo good. I don't know what the secret ingredient in their fried, sliced bananas is, but we loved it! Think we will go in diabetic shock but it was mouth watering delicious. Can't wait to go back for more! They also offered Natural shaved ice (kinda like a slurpee) but with fresh fruit- that was just okay, but still refreshing.

Located a hard turn away from the border, plenty of parking, and of course a bi-lingual staff you can't go wrong eating here. You will leave here full, satisfied, and wanting to return. Serving traditional Mexican fares of tacos, burritos, sopas, sopes, menudo, enchiladas, tortas, ...... and a few American dishes. The combination of spices, slow cooked, and presentation are on point! Service is adequate, but can be true to Mexican lifestyle of relaxed (slow). Prices are not high. A full complement of beverages (sodas, beers, tea, frescas, liquidos) to make your meal complete. Looking forward to visiting again, and oh yeah, to shop in the outlet mall sharing the same parking lot. :-)
