Great family place. They have great chips and salsa and their carnitas is pretty good too. They make it easy for you to order online and pick it up.

The Mexican food here is very nice. It's a very simple restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring your meal to the table. The food is tasty, fresh, and it's very casual. They have a nice selection of beer, a small salsa bar, and a good selection of menu items. The people are very friendly.

Located in a small strip center off of Alipaz, drive slowly or you'll miss it. Started with homemade chips & spicy salsa. Had their shrimp molcajete with chicken, steak, chorizo, shrimp and langostino diablo both served with rice & beans. Food was excellent...so delicious! Place is small, arrived on a Sunday around two and the place was packed but found plenty of parking. Our new favorite mexican restaurant in town!

I know that the review sites i have seen for this restaurant talk about how wonderful it is, but that was not my experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and the location is stellar. The food was eh. The enchilada we ordered was covered in a sauce that rendered it uneatable, the fish tacos had little to no seasoning, and the grilled corn tasted more like the dip that accompanies artichokes more than Mexican street food. If you come to Southern California and want great Mexican food, this is not the place. Again, they are average. I will try them again in time to see if they tweak any of their recipes - here's to hoping.

A Lilttle Outdoor Restaurant
Mission Grill is across street from Mission San Capistrano, so convenient for lunch after our tour. Live musician/guitar during our lunch. We ordered beef tacos, chicken tortilla soup, guacamole/chips and chicken avocado sandwich. Happy with all our choices. You order at counter, select outdoor table and staff will bring your food.

My family & myself are all about the Mexican restaurants. One of our favorites is south of this establishment in San Clemente. This place came highly recommended to us from on of my wife's clients. I was super excited to come here since I just got back from working 2 months in a small town in West Virginia (zero good Mexican food in West Virginia). We started with the guacamole, it was way to salty or it would have been perfect. My daughter had tacos, she said they were OK, didn't like the rice. My wife had a taco & tamale, she liked the tamale but the rice was bland & the beans were dried out. I had the "Wet" super burrito and it was average. I believed they charged $2.25 to make my burrito wet, it came out with a dollop of green sauce on it. Plus they are on the expensive side for what you get I.M.O. Needless to say there are much better places to dine for food quality, price, & atmosphere in the area.

We've been going to El Campeon for several years now, for good reason. The food is always fresh and delicious. The burritos are enough to feed 2 people. We often pick up beans, rice, chips and guacamole and then get meat and produce from the market next door to grill at home. A favorite!

Great happy hour, perfect Margaritas, and delicious food; however, the staff were so friendly and accommodating that I would come back here anytime regardless. Super friendly, and hardworking team that makes you feel at home immediately. The appetizer ribs were fantastic. Guacamole is fresh and perfectly seasoned. Good portions. Happy hour is every day.

Attended a high school reunion at this restaurant. We were in a large back room with a large outdoor patio. Walking through the restaurant, i noticed they had musicians playing music for the diners. There was a harp and guitar. It was a nice experience. The food that we were served was buffet style. It was delicious. After dinner, we could walk to the patio. It was nice to step outside into the cool air. I was surprised there was not an outdoor fire pit for people to sit around and enjoy. We would definitely return to El Adobe on a future visit to the area.

Ricardoâs Place Authentic Mexican Cuisine Restaurant Ricardoâs Place was established in 2004 serving the best Mexican food in San Juan Capistrano. Our Mexican restaurant is founded by our family traditions of authentic Mexican flavors along with our 3 bas
On the recommendation of my son, we paid our first visit to Ricardo's Place. We were impressed, especially by the service. The atmosphere and authenticity of the food were also excellent. The menu offered lots of choices and none of them bad by our measure.Being so impressed, we returned two days later. The only thing that changed was the service. Our waiter basically ignored us, forgetting our request for some more chips. We had to flag down a passing waitress who took care of us. Less the gentleman who was our waiter, I'd give the place five stars. Maybe he'll be gone if we return. The place offers great food, is a good place for kids and families, and has an authentic feel. You can also purchase some great looking drinks from the bar.So, visit Ricardo's and enjoy (hopefully you won't get the gentleman we had as your waiter).Good Afternoon LarphWe at Ricardo's Place thank you for taking the time to write such a great review. We value all of our customer's comments. Glad to hear you enjoyed your first visit but had doubts about the second. My staff will look into this issue. We look forward to serving you again soon.Have a wonderful day.Regards,Ricardo Beas
