As the original, and last of the Red Onions in the South Bay, this restaurant in Rolling Hills has not lost its personal touch. Great service and ambiance, and the food is really outstanding considering the very reasonable prices. If you like Mexican food, this is a must stop while in the South Bay.

Fast, friendly and efficient service. The menu is extensive and the food was delicious. It was really noisy inside with 2 large groups when we dined there, but if you prefer there is an outdoor patio (full when we visited). I can see why it's so popular and highly rated.

Close to the Best Western and had a high rating. Great happy hour specials with $1 off draft $6 margaritas. Tacos range from $2.50 to $3.50, Carne Asada and Short Rib tacos are great. Fresh juicy meat. Comes authentically with cheese and onions on the side. Stay away from the Carnitas one, not much flavor. Tortillas are fresh and made on location! Tacos come out super fast which is nice if in a hurry.

Let's start with Outstanding: the service. Mexican Riviera Restaurant has the magic touch when it comes to hiring. Everyone who came within range made sure we were doted upon (plenty of chips, salsa without asking). I would go back just for the service. Margarita's were great and came with Drambuie on the side - too much ice so it didn't feel like I had a satisfying portion - but my drink was very good. The kitchen took a bit with our order but that's because the place was crowded - as it always seems to be. Not that my party and I cared, we were sitting on a beautiful patio (a bit cramped but again no one cared because we felt so pampered). Definitely choose the patio if possible because the inside tables didn't seem to have the same vibrant energy as outside. Food was delicious. My older son and I had the grilled fish tacos. The fish portion was generous and tasty. I am not a cilantro eater (hard to get by in a Mexican restaurant without it) and the slaw had cilantro in it so they substituted a nice side salad. Love that they were so accommodating. My youngest son had the giant 'everything burrito'. Delicious and HUGE! My husband loved his tamale but the beef taco was unimpressive. We'll definitely be going back.

My brother & sister-in-law were in town from NorCal and along with mom & nephew we wanted someplace small but with BIG food taste. We decided on Rosa's as this has always been a great place and never disappointing. We all had some of the favorites, either the 1/2 Rosa's Special (beef & chicken) wet burrito, I like the traditional beef but we were all satisfied with both. And the NorCal gang had the Claudia's special (Fajita's) and they were very happy with their pick as well. If you want a great meal at a local family run restaurant than Rosa's La Cabana is a good choice.
