Restaurant was not that busy, but took 10 minutes to get a waiter/waitress at our table, 45 minutes to get food brought. The food was horrible. Queso was runny and tasted like dishwater. Food was cold. Sent the food back, replacement wasn't much better. Service was horrible on a slow day. We used to be regulars, but has taken a big dive on service and quality. I think you are 50/50 on whether you happen to get a reasonablely decent meal or absolute garbage....sad...

LOVE the look of the bar and the atmosphere here. Been twice, both for dinner, and was really pleased with it both times. The first time we started at the bar and the bartender was awesome! The drinks are super! The menu is hugs, so, if you are indecisive that may be a problem! once we finally decided we had a great cross section of the menu from our group and everyone was very happy. Well seasoned, well cooked. It is the mid level Mexican I have been waiting for.

Introducing Wake Forest's newest crave The Empanada Factory, specializing in over 40 savory and sweet, handmade Empanadas and a variety of our homemade sauces. Accompany your Empanadas with a choice of delicious starters and sides including Loaded Nachos,
This small place in a strip mall has great empanadas. My daughter and I have been there twice and will be back. They offer at least a total of 20 different flavors of empanadas. They have vegetarian, meat, specialty and dessert empanadas to choose from. All are $3 except for specialty which are $4.Both my daughters and I got a combination dinner or 2 empanadas, a side and a drink for slightly less than $10. Empanadas we're delicious.Dessert empanadas are out of this world. Tried the cheesecake empanada and it was almost to die forThe restaurant has a small seating area and is relatively plain. You order at counter than they bring your food to where you are sitting. The food is good enough for a rating of 5 but the fact the interior is plain and this is not a full service restaurant without waiters and a chef precludes the higher rating.Recommended highly if you like empanadas.

Of all the Mexican food restaurants, this is the best one. Itâs a bit fresher and more authentic. It has table side guacamole.

It's a small place attached to a gas station / market but don't let that keep you away . The food is very good and the prices are the Best !!!!Daily dinner specials are cheap & delicious. The service is good and efficient. Chips & salsa Yummmmy !!There's outdoor seating that is nice in better weather . Overall it's always a good meal without the frills. This is my go to place when I'm in the mood for a good home cooked Mexican meal.

Some years ago, while visiting Wake Forest, a business colleague took me to Las Margaritas for dinner and I remembered that pleasant visit on a recent return to the community. I was able to locate the restaurant easily but if you have not been there before, it will probably be useful to report that it is below ground, and that you enter by a staircase off the sidewalk that takes you down into this charming place. Once inside, I was immediately led to a table and the hostess made sure that I was happy with her choice (I was). It was a busy evening, with more than one party there but the service was efficient and polite, hurried even, but I did not feel neglected. The menu choices were extensive â in a sense, the usual Tex-Mex offerings but excellent in quality and preparation. Without question, Las Margaritas is a âcut above,â well above, the usual sort of thing. Prices were most definitely reasonable, surprisingly so â this was definitely a good value. Without doubt the décor, the service, the welcoming spirit, the quality of the food, and the price all commend this restaurant to me and insure that I will return at the first opportunity.

We went to gonza expecting authentic tacos . We got that and more ! The decor is artsy and fun . The menu was a surprise . As we read about the items, we soon discovered elements of Mexican , Puerto Rican , Dominican , Colombian and even some American dishes . If you find this difficult to navigate , the staff will help, though I assure you there is no such thing as a bad dish here

Passed by this place so many times after a hard workout & never stopped - what a huge mistake! Went for lunch & was so amazed at the inexpensive prices for so much good food! Authentic Mexican dishes prepared beautifully in a nice setting. Salsa is fresh, although not thick, but tasty & you get plenty of chips. Dishes come out hot, very colorful and delicious. The lunch portions are large enough to share! Service is prompt and friendly. Almost wish they weren't so close to our gym cause now we eat there all the time!

This is a very successful place due to the family ties from the management at the location. They make everyone feel like their only customer, no matter how busy they are. The food is also good of course.
