Our first time at this Mexican Restaurant was not a disappointment. This is the third Mexican Restaurant that we have tried in Rochester, and its definitely the best of the three. For starters, this restaurant was very clean. The service was excellent. For an appetizer we had the "Ol'e Flaming Cheese, with corn tortillas, which was delicious. The Tortilla Chips were a good quality, and the salsa was your average salsa but good. My wife had Seafood Enchiladas, and I had a Steak Burrito. Both entrees were topped with a very good cheeses sauce, and both dishes came with rice, and refried beans. The rice was very flavorful, and the beans were excellent. There was nothing that we didn't like, and we will definitely make this our Mexican Restaurant that we go too from now on. Can't go wrong here. The only thing that prevented this restaurant from getting 5 stars, was the salsa, because it was just the average salsa.

Atmosphere is eclectic/busy with any and all manner of Mexican cliche items on display. The lunch special offering was a quesadilla and taco combo that included rice and beans. I had my choice of chicken or beef. Not sure if the beef was shredded or ground, as I opted for the chicken. The chicken was flavorful, but somewhat dry. The only other thing on the quesadilla was cheese, albeit a nice amount of cheese. The taco had the same chicken on it as well as some shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes. Unfortunately, the taco shell was the crunchy variety that one would expect from the neighborhood Taco Bell. The rice was ok, not a lot of seasoning, but the refried beans were pureed and looked like they came from a can. My wife had mole topped chicken tacos. Her tortillas looked handmade and were more like what one would expect from a street vendor in Mexico. The mole was sweet and richly flavored, very delicious. Her rice and beans were the same as what I was served. Before the meal, we received a basket of tortilla chips that appeared to be fresh fried on the premises. Unfortunately, they were dredged from the bottom of the batch as the basket contained about 50% small, broken pieces. They have available several different types of salsas and toppings. From mild to hot, red sauces as well as Verde, and Pico de Gallo, Pickled jalapenos, cilantro and sliced radishes. It's a pity they have a large sign up saying that you are limited to just 2 small ramekins of any of the add-ons per entree. For an additional charge of 65 cents each serving, you can have more. Overall, this is a moderately priced Mexican eatery that cuts corners in some areas or charges you "extra" when they raise the quality. I won't be rushing back.

There is no way this restaurant serves authentic Mexican food. Ridiculously over priced food. The restaurant wasn't busy yet service was none existent . When our server finally came, she made a very rude comment. The comment was loud enough for everyone to hear. Was unwilling to apologize, as she did nothing wrong. I have never felt so humiliated in my life. We asked her why she made such a hurtful comment & she said she hadn't made a hurtful comment.

Having just been to Querétaro Mexico and had authentic tacos, I can highly recommend Taco Jedâs. The food quality and flavour was like I was back in Mexico. With so many choices in the area, Taco Jedâs should be your first choice.

Second time dining here and wasn't that impressed the first time, but thought I would try it again.Yes, it is a "hip" place. Cool looking murals, decor and lighting and they have good selections of tequila; Hornitios, Anejo and Reposado. The cocktails are fair as well. However, when it comes to food it sort of falls flat. For cocktails my son ordered a "The good, the bad, the spicy". He said it could be good or bad, but it definitely was not spicy. I ordered the "Desperado" which had an appropriate amount of tequila, but I now have 2nd thoughts about mixing pomegranate and blood orange in a drink, I like both but a bit too sweet together. We shared an appetizer called Jalapeno Poppers- but they are not the Mexican poppers. Some jalapeno is ground up with cheese, battered and deep fried. So when you bite into it, all you taste is cheese. 5 small bites for $7 are not worth it.My son ordered the Gran Burrito, which looked pretty fancy on the outside. The inside he said was too bland to qualify as a real Mexican entree. I ordered the El Enchilada which looked identical to a burrito. This one was spicy and I liked it, but the tortilla was extremely doughy and under cooked. The entrees DO NOT come with any kind of sides. Tacos have to be ordered with a "two taco minimum". Food prices here are pretty high for what you receive. One might call this place Upscale Faux Mexican. Pretty to look at, nice murals and vibe, but come here to get high on tequila drinks forget the food.

Family owned restaurant for over 30 years. Fast, quick and delicious meals in a comfortable setting. Check out local favorites or try something new from the updated menu including wood fire pizzas
The food here is good! Unfortunately the service is slow, if not very slow. The restraunt was not busy at the time we came in. They have a nice variety of menu items, some being unique that you cannot find at a typical restraunt. The prices here are good. The Canadian Honker is typically $2-3 more for a similar item and the food is just as good if not better at Cafe Presto without the Honker wait time. The service at the Canadian Honker is undeniably much better. Cafe Presto has a small town cafe atmosphere which is quaint.
