I've been driving by this place for 20 years and this is the first time I've stopped. It won't be my last. Not much to look at, but the food is excellent. My wife had a large shrimp cocktail and a side of refried beans with cheese. I had the Tostada de Ceviche and a bowl of Gumbo. My wife got 3 meals out of the shrimp cocktail. The beans were very flavorful. The gumbo was outstanding. Probably the best I've had outside New Orleans. The ceviche is on a tostada and has various types of seafood. Just be careful your tostada doesn't break.

We had the opportunity to dine at the Taqueria Guadalajara in Refugio, Texas. The place is busy. They have a good client base and a good drive through. We found the staff friendly and courteous. The food service was prompt. and our plates were very generously served. The have a decent buffet as well. The place as a whole is not too clean. The restrooms were desperate for custodial attention. I was afraid to touch the walls or door handles. Beware. Just an FYI, this is a bus stopping place.
Dont expect mexican expect tex mex but there is nothing wrong with that. Menu is a bit hard to understand but the waitress did a great job explaining. Fish tacos are good as well are the shrimp quesadilla. If I pass through we will stop again.
