It is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The population was 10,769 at the 2010 census, up from 4,301 at the 2000 census. The North Central Texas Council of Governments projects that number to grow to 63,329 by the year 2030, as it is on the verge of explosive suburban growth. Red Oak was the exterior location for filming True Stories, directed by David Byrne of Talking Heads and released in 1986.

Our hotel was nearby and we saw great reviews on TA so we had to try it. Our server, Sydney, quickly greeted and seated us and brought us drinks.I ended up ordering the Carne Asada. It comes with an avocado salad and bean soup. It was amazing, with wonderful spices on a grilled to perfection piece of beef. What an incredible meal!!!Sydney was an excellent server and we would definitely recommend Mamacitas!

While there are a couple of good Tex Mex restaurants in Red Oak, Amaya's has become our restaurant of choice. The food is always good and the quantity is ample. Service is efficient. The main downside is that I don't think the décor has been touched in years, but then again, I'm here for a quick Tex Mex dinner and not fine dining.A big plus for us is the location. Being on 342 it is very easy to reach, and we don't have to deal with the hassle that is Ovilla Road.

I passed by this place every weekend, and I did not realize that they had a full take-out menu - until a friend told me about it. There is no table seating. We had tamales, chicken tacos, beef tacos, chorizo-and-egg tacos, chips, green salsa, and fresh warm tortillas. The tacos were made after ordering, and they were very good. I was pleasantly surprised to eat shredded chicken that was so tasty and juicy - not dry at all.

Please choose another substantial Mexican fast food restaurant. Like Taco Bueno. The food is crap from the letters to the meet. I know it you know it , lets not make our stomachS suffer.
