This place is serving up some fantastic amazing authentic Mexican food in Zion, IL. The sweet Mom & Pop who take your order at the front counter are simply nice people. This place gets slammed at lunch time, so be prepared to wait. This place is the working man's lunch joint. They have great daily specials like tacos for $1 on Monday & $1.25 on Tuesday. These specials may change but I'm sure they will have something great to choose from. They do have specials all week. This place isn't going to win an award like a fancy $$$$ sign restaurant but they could kick any of those restaurants butts on pure taste and flavor. So if you find yourself in the area and want really Mexican then this is the place for your dinning experience. You will thank my later from your wallet and your taste buds.

Been a customer of Chiliâs for some time.Again was disappointing.Panco rings were good. Wife had spicey ranch and I had honey mustard dipping sauce, both were good. Then the horrible began, wife ordered chicken fajitas and I ordered a chicken salad with lemon, lime vinaigrette sauce. Our chicken was very bland. Her chicken should have had some seasoning on it to compliment the fajitas. Like my salad no taste. Did not like the lemon, lime vinaigrette. Added some of her red sauce and it made the salad better. Her guacamole was very good.2nd time we have had a disappointing meal at Chiliâs.Guess we will have to order the meals that we know are good and not order something new.Service was slow as we had to wait for the manager to validate our gift card.Prices are always reasonable. We will return.

After giving them repeat visits to prove the prior ones wrong, we have officially come to the conclusion they will not be getting any further business from us. Overpriced, food that seems reheated or pre-prepped, and flies/fruit flies both buzzing around or dead along the windows. This is one place I absolutely donât âwantâ go back to

My wife ordered a fajita chicken salad. It was very good, but even with an excellent rating for her salad I could not give a very good or average rating for our food.I ordered a Taco Chicken Salad. I can say without a doubt that it was the most horrible tasting Taco Salad that I have ever tried to eat. My wife, after taking a bite agreed with me.Usually if 1 of us has a good meal and the other1 is not so good I will give a very good rating! Averaging between average and excellent. We have ordered from them before and the food was very good. Friends of ours eat there a lot.Who knows why my salad was terrible. Maybe the cook forgot to put some seasoningsIn the meat. I do not know. All I know is that I did not like my saladJudging by my wifeâs salad we will return. I will not order the beef taco salad.Thought their prices were reasonable and service was good.

This place is DELICIOUS! Best breakfast around. Try the breakfast burrito grande or the huevos rancheros. Great omelettes and pancakes too. Homemade salsa is outstanding!!! Casual, friendly and very reasonably priced. You can get a drink here too. We really like El Lago. You will too.

Quaint little restaurant with a unique menu, unlike any other in Kenosha that I have seen, and very good service. The ambiance is basic and nothing to write about (it is clean). The food is not the ordinary tacos, tamales, burritos etc., although they do offer some of the aforementioned. Rather, they have dishes that seem more of what the indigenous peoples would eat. It is not as Americanized as most other places in this city. Both of our dishes were very tasty (I ordered the chicken in mesa pockets and my partner had a beef dish with cactus served in a stone bowl). Fair warning for those who like libations with dinner, they do not serve any alcoholic beverages. Essentially, we were pleased with La Fe and intend to patron it again in the near future.

They have expanded to the East. A few booths, a bar and tables with the high chairs.Looks very nice and booths are comfortable. Both of us ordered the crunchy combo, both with beef and mine without sour cream. Everything was very good and had lots of flavor. Rice and beans were great after I added a little salsa that came with the chips. Asked for some of their hot salsa and remembered from our last visit to use it sparingly or smoke would pour out my ears. All in all a good meal, great service and reasonable prices.

We really enjoyed this place. It was a lively Friday night. Service was excellent. We liked having the option of yellow rice and black beans (instead of refried beans, etc.). I had the shrimp enchiladas with mole and they were delicious. Mole can be tricky, but this was excellent. Lots of food options, fun spot, great service....what more could one want? Superb margaritas? Check!
