I stumbled over this restaurant while visiting the nearby Corvallis Outlet store. I had pretty much given up on Mexican food in Corvallis. I've been to Mexico many times and lived in Sonoma County for years so I know good Mexican food. That day I had a Carnitas soft taco. Wow, the best soft taco I've had in Corvallis. I went back the next night and ordered a Torta to go. Great torta. And best of all, they give you chips and salsa on take out orders. This is the only Mexican restaurant I have found that includes free chips and salsa. And the chips were great!
Since it's summer, one can find a parking place nearby. The staff is friendly, you select your ingredients, and your meal is quickly put together. The ingredients are fresh and there is a nice selection of salsas. On the plus side, you watch your ingredients being assembled and can point or verbally advise which items you want. The burritos are large. The 3 taco meal is good and offers more meat than some fast food places. I like having more salsa on my items so the restaurant that lets you add the salsa is preferable. The wrap on my burritos was uncooked, kind of damp and sticky, and the meat in the tacos needed to be heated. We have ordered their taco bar (serves 20) on several occasions and it is consistently very good. The serving for 20 is generous and we often have leftovers - which don't last long. For a price they will even come and set it up for you in your home. The restaurant is clean.

We stopped by for a light lunch mid-week. The restaurant was not very busy. The floors needed sweeping and the tables needed to be cleared and wiped down. We had to wipe off our table before we sat down. The food was barely o.k. I had a burrito, requesting the same item as the person in front of me in line--it looked good. There is no quantity control. The bowl in front of me was stacked 4 or 5 inches above the bowl rim, mine barely reached the top of the bowl. Granted, he was a big guy; however we both paid the same. My husband had a 3-taco plate. The young women filling the order put a spoon of meat in two of the three tacos and my husband had to request that she put something in the middle one. The salsa provided was maybe a couple tablespoons which is a poor stretch for 3 tacos or a burrito. There isn't much you can do wrong in filling 3 taco shells, however, the burrito could have been prepared much nicer. All the filling was on one end and the other simply dough. The business is located close to campus and seems to cater to college kids.

I really like their Enchiladas Verdes. They're pretty spicy, which seems to be a rare thing to find at the other Mexican restaurants in town. I've been multiple times to the La Rockita on Western and the one on Kings and they're both pretty good. The one on Western seems to be more of a place where people go to get takeout (though I have eaten there as well) and you order at the counter rather than from a server. The Kings one is a sit down restaurant with chips, salsa, and your standard American-Mexican feel.

A great dinner out. The taco options are creative and visually stunning, beautiful colors and textures. The drinks where great, the waiter was attentive and helpful, the food... The tacos where so good. Some where way too spicy for my sensitive palate, but all where enjoyed. I'm sure we'll be back next time we're in town.

We had lunch at the Bomb's Away Restaurant on Monroe Street in Corvallis. When we lived in Corvallis 20 years ago, this was one of our favorite places. Well, the food was still as good as years ago. The smoothered chicken burrito and the vegetable quesadilla were very good. All in all 15 dollars including soft drinks is an unbeatable price.Service was ok but not outstandingly friendly.

This quirky, offbeat vegetarian restaurant in college-town Corvallis offers food that even a carnivore can love. At least, my meat-eating friends always come away happy and wanting to return with me to try additional dishes. The âgonzo cuisineâ includes creative takes on various international fare, including an entire menu section of âNearly Mexicanâ meals. My favorite dish is based on an Indonesian favorite, but here itâs called âOh My Gado-Gado.â The menu calls it âcolorful veggies and tamari tofu cooked in our homemade peanut sauce over brown rice, topped with cabbage-carrot-lime slaw and roasted peanuts.â I call it heavenly. The restaurant is open from breakfast through dinner, with outdoor garden patio seating in pleasant weather, and indoor tables year-round.

It is a simple Plain Jane place that was once a great burger stop. It has been a family run set up for a number of years. It's real good food with no frills. They make orders to go, restrooms are ok.

The owners have three restaurants of the same name, the one above, plus one at 1320 SW Fairway Avenue, Dallas Oregon, and one at 33452 Havlik Road, Scappoose, Oregon. It's been in the Philomath location for several years.
This restaurant has excellent food and reasonable prices. We had the three combination plate and really enjoyed our early dinner. Large portions. Good chips and salsa. Our server was very friendly and efficient. Good Mexican beer selection. Plenty of parking. Good location.
