This was our first visit to El Rio De Mexico in Pearl River, La. It is a rather small restaurant, but was nice and clean. We arrived around 1pm on a Thursday afternoon ~ there were 2 other parties eating when we arrived. We were seated quickly, our drink orders placed and then our food order. Complimentary chips and DELICIOUS freshly made salsa were brought out as our waitress took our food order. After we were seated, another 4 parties arrived to be seated as well... This was the BEST Mexican food that I have had in a VERY VERY long time and the prices were very reasonable too! I will definitely be returning to this gem!

Taco Bell is a good place for a fast, inexpensive meal. But, if you opt off of the typical tacos or burritos you might want to try the Power Bowl.I've tried all three: chicken, shredded chicken, and steak. Besides the meat, you get rice, beans, guacamole, cheese, romaine lettuce, and pico de gallo in a decent size bowl. It's a good alternative that doesn't weigh you down, especially with the hot summer we've been experiencing.

Because I have no experience with Mexican food and no alcohol experience, I can only discuss the Taco steak salad. It was a great presentation nicely done with steak strips very tender. Location is clean and comfortable. Waitress was very attentive and tried to accommodate and please. I would go back again and try something different.

The menu was very typical and had many choices. All the food smelled great. Our problem was with the noise. They had an Elvis Impersonator singing along with a Karaoke machine and the architecture was not made to accommodate music like that. It echoed throughout the place and in our heads. His voice was fine, the music from the machine was bad.We had to leave before we could order - hope to come back some day - the food was highly recommended by my family who moved here from New Mexico.

Our family has eaten at Los Tres Amigos in Slidell on many occasions. The staff is always polite and courteous. The menu has a wide variety of choices from which to choose. The portions are both tasty and filling, you won't go hungry here. The quality of service and food seem to stay very consistent. If you are in the area give them a try...
