El Poblano Restaurant (formerly Chris's Restaurant) is located next door to the famous Donut Shack on Ritchie Highway in the heart of Severna Park. The restaurant is owned by an extremely friendly family, and they serve up a variety of authentic Mexican and Salvadoran dishes and several American standards, such as subs, burgers, pancakes, and waffles. My menu favorites are huevos rancheros (fried eggs on a tortilla covered in ranchera sauce) and desayuno tipico salvadoreno (scrambled eggs with red and green chiles, refried beans, hard cheese, avocados, fried plantains, and corn tortillas). I usually order patatas fritas (home fries) and bacon on the side. It's a feast I look forward to every other week or so. El Poblano is ideal for children, and it's fun to watch soccer matches on the big-screen TV along with the other customers. A small Severna Park dining treasure, indeed!

Drove by numerous times but never thought to stop. My wife and I visited with a Groupon Coupon and what a discovery. Very good Honduran food which is a little different from Mexican. Small place, family owned and run. Everything was fresh and homemade and can't beat the prices. A must try.

Solid Tex-Mex restaurant that's close to the house. Decent Margaritas and tacos al carbon (order the Picantillo tacos w/ steak). Kids love the quesadillas and there are plenty of other options on the menu if you feel like something different. Service is always friendly and speedy, and food is reasonably priced.

This is a cute restaurant...my 'go to' when the Mexican food cravings hit.The prices are reasonable, the food is good, and has always been hot. This evening we both had burritos after eating the complimentary chips and salsa. We each were happy with our dish, and returned home with leftovers.I would recommend trying this restaurant. (One of the questions below asks if the restaurant is good for large groups. It's not a huge place but can accommodate 1 large group of up to approximately 25 people at a time.)

This place is situated in a strip mall next to La Fountain Blu. It is always super busy on Fridays and Saturdays. They use a number system to seat you. The food is fresh and hot when it gets to your table. They also do fresh guacamole at your table side. Best margaritas!!! The staff and owners are the best!!!

Their guacamole is very good and it is made at the table. The first time we went here I did really like my meal the burrito norteno. The next 2 times I did not care for the carne asada or the beef nachos. Both the steak and beef were overcooked and tasted black without any seasoning. My daughter got the steak fajitas and taco salad. The fajitas were better then the carne asada, but again the salad was bland. The service was efficient and our waiter was friendly and the margaritas were good.
