Didn't move too far, but in a larger place! Was very clean & very Mexican! I did the "make your own", cheese enchilada, hard shell beef taco with rice & beans. Good, but needed sauce on enchilada. Tasted guacamole & needed improvement. Am sure they will improve!

This Mexican restaurant tends to get overlooked in favor of several others in town, but it is unquestionably the best Mexican food I have had since San Diego. The salsa is fresh and slightly chunky, they give you a small bowl of authentic queso with your chips, and the refried beans are actually very tasty, not the unappealing gray mess one usually encounters in Mexican restaurants. We'll definitely be back!

I enjoyed the authenticity of the tacos along with the great selection. They even served a Tongue Taco, but I wasn't that brave!. I had a chicken taco and a BBQ Pineapple and they were both good, especially with the extra cheese added. My son ate steak tacos and enjoyed those as well.

I was pleasantly surprised at this Chili's, considering how atrocious Meridian's Chili's is. However, the restaurant was clean (my big issue with the one in Meridian), the food was good, and the service was lovely. Will recommend.

So this was not our first time at El Agave but maybe not my favorite. We had the table side guacamole and it was ok. Way too many onions though. My dinner companions both had a salad (one chicken fajita and one steak fajita) they both enjoyed theirs. I had the chicken soup. Never have I had chicken soup with cauliflower and such in it. It was almost disgusting and it was barely warm.We will go back again because itâs as close to real Tex-Mex as I can find in north Mississippi.Side note......we should have ordered the onion rings!! They are the BEST!!!!

I sat at the bar for an early dinner.Started off with chips and salsa. Pretty typical, nothing outstanding. Ordered a beer and the Grande Chimichanga. It had four different meats inside, pork, chicken, beef and shrimp. It came perfectly cooked. The chimi was huge, almost ate it all, came close. The staff were fast and friendly. Wonderful Mexican restaurant!

Located just off the square, this is a burrito place ala Chipotle, Moe's, etc. except local and better. When I arrived, the line was out the door. It takes a while but freshly prepared food does so be prepared to wait a bit at peak times. They have special burritos or build your own. I did build my own. The burrito is well made and stays together. Everything tasted great. Beans are well seasoned but have some small bits of pepper if you don't like that. Chicken was well seasoned. I had a wheat shell. Chips come with your meal and if you order extra, they give you a nice amount and don't charge a lot for them. Prices were great for the amount and quality of food you get. There are indoor tables. Looked like there might be a patio out back as well but I didn't check that out as I got it to go.
