A friend and I had dinner at Dos Reales. It's conveniently located but hard to see form the road; it's in a shopping center with a Family Dollar Store at the corner of Shawnee Mission Parkway and Quivera. My friend is pretty fluent in Spanish and enjoyed chatting with the waitress; there were other patrons also speaking Spanish. A good sign for me when an ethnic restaurant has many members of that ethnic group eating there!Service was good and food was served pro, ptly when it was ready, still hot from the kitchen. There was a wide menu selection; I had the vegetarian fajitas and my friend had two enchiladas and a taco. The green sauce on the table was especially tasty! Dinner for the two of us, including two beers each and the tip, was under $50.

This location had a new chef, per the server He screwed up twice, which is a bit unreal. Ordered STEAK burrito witj chile sauce and cheeses ON TOP. First plate brought......: ground beef burrito. Send it back, and repeated initial request.Second time: burritto filled with raw steak and unmelted cheese...ALOT of unmelted cheese. Gave up.Jose Pepper location on 143rd in south OP much better.

We love the chips and salsas! The green one is amazing! Everything weâve ordered is top notch delicious! The Pollo K-Machos dish is so good! The charro beans are great! So much flavor! I canât say enough good things about this K-Machos! I really wish they get a K-Machos North of the River!!!

Slow cooked, shredded meats are the heart and soul of the street taco. Add to that a little lovingly prepared, chef-driven touch, and you've got a restaurant experience that, put simply, you will love. Outdoor seating and a casual, airy atmosphere make it
This is a great outdoor spot for people with kids and dogs. The tacos are a little too fancy for me Had the street taco plate which gets you a tiny serving of beans and rice and three soft tacos, At a friend's recommendation had.the Salazar, which is pork belly and chicharrones, by far the best. Get THAT one two times over and pick another taco. If God had meant for shrimp to be on tacos in Kansas City, he would have built Kansas an ocean. Top shelf margaritas on the spot. We picked Taco Republic so the kids could run around and order as they wished, and that all worked out great.

#1 Fun staff that treat you well, #2 Great atmosphere on balcony overlooking Plaza area, #3 Fantastic Drinks, and then if you want to eat, lots of great choices. Strongly recommend a couple of the New Mexican Martinis. Great place for drinks and chips only or a full meal. With all of the eating options around the Plaza, visited this eatery twice on our most recent trip.

I usually love dining at the Olathe location, but yesterday my family and I visited the Mi Ranchito location in Overland Park. We did not receive the service we are accustom to: no drinks were refilled, we were not asked how our food was or if we needed anything. Our food took forever that we forgot we placed our order. Once our food was brought the staff proceeded to gather and dine while we were lacking service. It was unprofessional and rude to basically ignore us, as customers and not even attempt to provide quality service. We barely finished our meals. My order was incorrect- I requested black beans and received pinto. The refried beans were dry with a layer of crust on the top like they were old or had been sitting out-drying out for a while. The espinaca dip was delicious. Overall, we felt cheated out of an acceptable dining experience. I was surprise we even were acknowledged as we exited the restaurant. The only way to summarize our experience is extremely disappointing and awkward since the restaurant wasn't busy. I would not recommend dining at the Overland Park location on 151st Street.I am sorry to hear about you recent experience at this location. Please email us at [email protected]
