Things to do in Novato
The food is just okay, but the service is absolutely horrible. They do have a little market attached to the restaurant which is pretty cute - it's full of lots of Mexican products you won't find at Safeway.
This Chipotle is hidden and hard to find, nestled behind Peet's, McDonalds, and a gas station. Parking is a bit tough during lunch. Overall an average Chipotle, nothing to write home about. There are tables outside in the back for those warm days in Marin County. This location is open relatively late for those nights I need a quick bite.
Stopped for lunch on the spur of the moment. Fast food type taqueria that sells mostly tacos and burritos. Excellent burrito, whole pinto beans. Good salsa selection. Prices reasonable. Don't go to a chain, come here.

This is a simple, low key restaurant that offer a hearty meals at great prices. The menu (on the wall) contains most of the basic Mexican fare that you would hope for and a couple of specialty dishes too.The Chile Verdi was delicious, as was the Machaca and burritos. NOT much ambiance, but the food makes up for it

Large, open venue with a long bar at one end. Patio tables in a shaded outdoor area.Food was less than OK, nothing really worthwhile.Huevos. Rancheros, $10.00, Chicken salad, $8.00, both items were overcooked and tasteless. Service was average. Nothing over the top. Probably a bad day in the kitchen.

Local pals and I meet at Maya for lunch, Per usual, there were approximately eight people in the restaurant - so, great service. The large Bowl of Tortialla Soup with shredded chciken and avacado is delicious. Good Salsa - red and green - and chips.A smattering of customers in the bar...

Not only is the restaurant location fabulous with a wonderful outdoor area that is large and pet friendly, but the family that owns it is just amazing. They share so much of themselves, personally and professionally, with the community. The food is great, too. They have a really fun bartender who makes his own hot salsa, which he will share with you if you ask.Overall, a fun experience for everyone.

Love this restaurant! Food always prepared fresh. Chips and salsa bar very, very good. Best fish tacos in town! Love their burritos in a bowl and my other favorite is their tostadas. If you are dining alone, you'll be very comfortable doing so. Have local sports on 2 TVs.

Authentic Mexican food in Novato and Petaluma CA
Pretty standard Mexican food, loud and busy place, prices are okay. Went once, but see no reason to go back.

We stopped in at the La Hacienda Taqueria for breakfast yesterday for a try. I ordered the Chorizo, avocado, tomato, sour cream & onions omelette. The side was hash browns and lettuce tomato salad. The omelette was over cooked, and they were out of avocados that morning. The hash browns were greasy and far over salted. On the upside the fresh squeezed Mimosa was a delight.
