Reviews on Mexican food in Northampton, Massachusetts, United States. Artists, farmers, scholars and professionals come together in harmony in beautiful Northampton, where the Connecticut River winds through the wooded hills of the Pioneer Valley. Once home to such diverse notables as U.S. president Calvin Coolidge, abolitionist Sojourner Truth, author Kurt Vonnegut and punk rockers Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore, and current home of the all women's Smith College, the city is famed for its arts scene and liberal values, plus a thriving lesbian community.

My daughter the ex-Smithie wanted to return, so I bent and said okay. Mistake. It's okay, don't get me wrong. The spicy pickles a delight. BUT. There were mistakes on our order (we were 6 people) and the food was what I'd remembered from last time. So-so. So next time, we'll go to a competitor I find WAYYY fresher and cleaner tasting. Having lived 10 years in Tex/Mex food land and 6 years in Mexico (the old one, in Mexico).. great Mexican food tastes fresh. Not reheated again and again. Not with messy mashed potato mix up taste.

I have known for years that their food is not authentic or particularly good for the prices, but usually it's safe to get a margarita and simple food. Claudio (owner) needs to stop getting by on his long-ago reputation. We arrived for a meal before a concert on Tuesday of this week. The host was the only person who seemed to be trying very hard to help everyone else. No server came over to us. I had to get up twice to ask the host to send a server. The served only half-listened so we wondered how the order would go. Well, 15 minutes later, she came back to inform us she neglected to put in our drink order at all and that we should not expect to get served because the bartender was too busy!! Cannot make this up. Then she turned and walked away. She seemed to want us to leave. No apology. No comp or any form of remorse. Having worked in the restaurant industry, I was appalled. We will never go there again. I have been supporting restaurants in Northampton since 1982, and this was the most ridiculous experience. It may have been saved if someone had apologized. We were there for 35 minutes total with no service whatsoever.

It's a burrito joint. They have pretty much the same stuff. Some interesting sauces. Friendly staff. Lack of good soda. Tasty but seems pricey. Interesting location stop in if you're passing by.

Dirty, Dirty Dirty !!!!!!I drove 38,000 miles in 2017 and travel for my workthis is the dirtiest fast food restaurant iv seen in a long time. Last Sunday I made a big mistake eating at this location! After waiting 10 minutes to order and another 15 minutes waiting for my food , I had a huge amount time to notice how dirtyand run down this restaurant is.1... The drink station and wall behind it had a slimy-greasy film on it.2...AC intake had a dusty /hair incrested / fuzzy...build up on it3... The windows were so dirty that they impeded light entering the building4....The entrance way doors had hundreds of dirty fingerprints 5....One of the booths cushions was slashed open the dirty soiledfoam exposed ... 6.....I get to my car and my bag had 2 extra tacos in it ,thatdidn't order or pay forAt one time KFC / Taco bell held its franchises to standards..This place is a train wreck !I will end this review with a question, If the dining room is so dirtyand run down...how clean is the kitchen
