Service is friendly and efficient. Chips and salsa are good. The table-made guacamole has all the right ingredients (and you can customize), but, really, guac should have an opportunity to sit and let its flavors develop. My brother-in-law's pork chili was delicious, and my nephew's steak burrito was huge and looked good, too. Alas, my chimichanga (which I know is not an authentic Mexican dish) was disappointing. On the upside, it was stuffed, really stuffed, with well-seasoned shredded chicken. But it was not deep-fried. It was in a weirdly toasted or sauteed flour tortilla--no crunch at all. What could have been an outstanding dish was sadly lacking. I'd give Blue Tequila another try--but would skip the chimichanga.

This place has become our favorite âï¸Mexican restaurant. Great food, atmosphere, friendly staff, decor and great margaritas. We been to several Mexican restaurants within a 20 mile radius, and this one is the best in North Port/Port Charlotte area. I just wish that the Mexican restaurants in FL would have the green chili sauce the Mexican restaurants have in CO, NM, AZ. Try the guacamole made at your table. Delicious!

We usually don't do chain restaurant reviews unless we find something extraordinary in one we've visited. Well, Chipolte, North Port, Florida was one of those surprises. The place was sparkling clean and the service was fast. .We ordered two HUGE Burritos to go because we were running late and wanted to get home quickly. The two main ingredients were grilled before us. One had "carnitas" and the other steak; both had everything in it, and with our different "salsas," we rushed off. When we got home we made a mess on the kitchen table as one should when eating a heavily stuffed and tasty Burrito. The cost was, we felt, very reasonable for what we got. Do we recommend it? You bet!
Had steak carnita ..it was decent ...average..guess we're from Southern Ca where best mexican restaurants are and this place which we are locals are average.

The shrimp and guacamole special was way too spicy hot. I believe it would be for most. Everything else was awesome. Chips and salsa, steak quesadilla with rice and salad was delicious and plentiful. And the margaritas were fantastic especially the giant size which is always on special on Saturday.
