It threw me off that a waitress didnât come around, but itâs not a deal breaker. They had great margaritas and you canât beat the $15 for 4 drinks. We had the nachos and added chicken, there is a ton of cheese, but they are good. I had a burrito and it was massive, could only eat half! My husband had the mesquite burger and he liked it. Overall good, and quick meal.
Located across the street from Hart Park, parking is a challenge. It's a small place and you are impressed by being greeted at the door. Don't be fooled, this is where service ends. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. Severely understaffed you won't see a server or your food for a while. When the food comes out it is quite good. I was impressed by the chile relleno. It is authentic in that most of the clientele are Mexican. Unfortunately the TV blasts poor Mexican variety shows. The guy that greets you doesn't even help the staff serve, but instead sits and watches the TV.

My wife and I went to the Trocadero for lunch while on a Sunday afternoon outing. I had heard great things about the Trocadero and had high expectations. We both found it very average. There was nothing that we experienced that would make us look to come again - not that it was bad, just that it wasn't memorable.

This little gem opened recently and is SO good. Fresh and organic ingredients bring delicious flavor to familiar Mexican dishes. Beer and wine for now, hopefully they will get a full liquor license. But in the meantime they have a good beer and wine selection and are making some fun variations on Micheladas and wine based cocktails. The food is great. My husband and I had the salsa and guacamole with chips appetizer. All the salsas and the guacamole were tasty and chips were fresh. We tried the two taco combos - my favorite was the short rib taco. But the steak, pork and shrimp tacos were all delicious too. The cilantro rice was really good too. The prices are great, especially when you consider the very high quality of the ingredients. We paid less here than at other traditional Mexican restaurants in the area for much better food! I highly recommend this place. They also have a great story - read about the owner and his family on their website. Also, they are doing breakfast/brunch on Saturdays and Sundays only for now. But a great mix of Mexican breakfast dishes along with the standard favorites - pancakes, etc.Thank You Cherelle for your review and feedback. We appreciate your business and looking forward to you joining us again soon. :)
Staff was friendly & welcoming. Tacos was great. We ordered asada & pastor. Flavorful & lots of meat. Price decent. MUST TRY!

The ambience inside Vallarta Market is like being in a U.S. grocery store, but Mexican music is played, the meat and produce prices are quite low, and the informal restaurant is very good, with quite low prices. It's interesting to people watch while listening to Mexican music while you dine. Quite an informal setup: order and pay at the counter, although you can see many of the foods, displayed cafeteria-style...but some foods are cooked to order. And, the fresh-squeezed vegetable and fruit juices are terrific!
My wife and I were looking for a Mexican breakfast in an unfamiliar area. We picked El Pato ("the duck") because it was open early. What a find. She had huevos ranchero. I had chorizo and eggs. Best corn tortillas I have ever had. So good, in fact, that I asked the server if they had a machine there to make them fresh. She replied that she made them by hand...at home! Also the bread, which I saw the cook was fashioning into tortas at this early morning hour. These must be the owners, I thought. And the rest of what they serve is probably homemade as well. Great flavors, reasonable prices, and decent-sized portions. The coffee was a bit on the weak side, but who cares. The rest was fabulous.

Excellent and inexpensive Mexican restaurant with big portions and cheap price and very friendly service. Also very delicioous, had a big breakfast burrito. The Ceasar salad was not so good but the burrito was excellent. However, the Air conditioner could be fixed. However I would go back , excellent restaurant.

Very luck to have found Darios. This place has a classic feel. The interior is dark, but the place was full on a Tuesday night at 8. That is a great sign. The food was great. I really love cheese enchiladas and relents. They were very good. Darios was a nice find for us since we in town for a night.

Great little restaurant. Salsa has fantastic flavor. Was in the mood for eggs so I had the huevos borrachos. Fantastic. Good serving size. Wife had the burrito. Meat was juicy and oozing with flavor. Their drinks are great. Can tell it's not that perfectly measured one shot. Good pour, strong yet enjoyable. Rest of the family had fajitas. They were awesome. All the tortillas are hand made. Had a bowl of the meatball soup and again simmered to perfection with phenomenal flavor. Will come here again.
