Lunch at Salsaâs was very good. My wife had enchiladas. I had chicken fajitas. The salsa and chipsvwere very fresh. The fajitas were done just like I like them, lots of crispy onions and well done flavorful chicken. The tortillas were well prepared.
this place serves good, authentic Mexican food at a very reasonable price. You place your order at the counter, and wait for it.then be seated. It is also a food market.(groceries, etc)My favorite menu item is the caldo chico.only complaint, there needs to be more seating available , especially at lunchtime.also , if you get there at lunchtime, you may have to wait in line for awhile.

We were in town for a wedding and needed to catch lunch. Not a whole lot around so we decided to try this one. It is a Mexican Food restaurant. The complimentary salsas they put on the table were very good. They had two different types. The food was average and the prices were midrange. Nothing special. The service what good at first but they were a little slow coming around to check on tables.

The food at La Casitas was good, but not outstanding. It was a typical Tex-Mex offering. The service, however, was terrible. There were two young people (20 or 30 something) who seemed to be running the restaurant. One was acting as hostess/cashier and the other as server. The appearance was that neither really wanted to be there as everything from seating us in a quarter-full restaurant to taking our order seemed like an over-whelming chore. Getting a second cup of coffee was really too much. I realize that restaurants in Navasota are few, but I would recommend another one just based on the reception we received.

Being tired of the College Station TexMex scene, we decided to drive to Navasota and check out Erick's. Had heard from several folks that the place was good, so off we went on our TexMex adventure. The restaurant is nothing to brag about but that didnt stop us. It's a mom & pop restaurant with very basic dining room. Comfortable enough and plenty of AC. The menu is bursting with entrees and there is even a section of pictures of skillet dinners which looked absolutely delicious. We tried the chicken and beef fajitas and were not disappointed. The skillet was overflowing with chicken, steak, shrimp, onions, peppers, tomatoes and jalepenos. Homemade flour tortillas came with the dinner as well as beans and rice. It was out of this world tasty! I was about to pop by the time I finished. Our friends had a skillet dinner as well with beef ribs and pork. It too was delicious. Service was extraordinary.......we were waited on like we were family. The place was busy but that didnt stop the staff from making sure all customers had everything they needed. We will definitely go back to this place as I'm anxious to try the enchilada dinners too......presuming I dont order the fajitas again!
