Cocina 18 is in the old Skippers place in Mount Vernon, WA. (round portal windows) The "mexican food restaurant" atmosphere isn't anything to brag about. However, their food is WONDERFUL!!!!. Everything was fresh and in good size portions. The first time I tried their food was at a friends place over the 4th of July where they had Cocina 18 cater it. I knew I had to visit them again and have not been disappointed. Their vegetarian options are outstanding!

Great store with everything you need for real, authentic Mexican cooking and supplies! Outstanding tacos at the in-store taqueria!!! Great customer service, always so friendly & available to help! The meat shop has really good meat for grilling & making any authentic Mexican dish! Perfectly seasoned meat for grilling! Check out their chicharrones and home made tamales. They even have Mexican pastries.The street tacos are some of the best tacos I've had here is Western WA! I eat here every chance I get. A hidden gem.

Moreno's is actually connected to Days Inn. If you are staying at Day's Inn there is a lobby entrance that will take you to Moreno's. Otherwise, outside it's less than one minute to the entrance of Moreno's from Day's Inn lobby. Staff were very attentive, and the Chicken Quesadilla was awesome. You can request almost any mexican meal and have it prepared your way. Oh, and the drinks were so good. Lucky we only had one prior to walking back into the Day's Inn.

We stopped in here for eats on our way to Seattle and had a decent lunch. The churros are delicious. We both had carne asada and liked it. The refried beans are great. Good guacamole also. Service was good and the place was keeping pretty busy for a non-peak time.

My coworker, a native Mexican, recommended La Bamba and I agree it's a great place for tacos and probably other Mexican foods. The first thing I noticed is that it was full of Mexicans; the second is that the menu is in Spanish. These are signs that you're going to get the real deal! My chicken tacos (they offer many kinds) came with 2 soft corn tortillas each, onion, cilantro, and I think tomato. On the side were a jalapeño pepper and some radish slices. This was a to-go order, a la carte. I will definitely try other dishes and eating in.

Went there with family for a good Mexican meal and they have a wonderful margarita that comes in a carafe. Forgot the name of the drink, but it is really good and plentiful.My husband that doesn't eat Mexican finally found that he could have one of their Burrito's and he was pleasantly happy with it. Will be going back no.

The restaurant is clean and cheery, staff are friendly and helpful. Our server did a great job taking care of our large birthday party crowd, very efficiently filling over 18 orders with no errors! Sadly I find the food to be disappointing. My chile relleno was rubbery, the flavor was OK, but nothing special. The place is always crowded, it's very popular, but I won't go out of my way to come back.

Decided to go here on a whim while up in Mt. Vernon, so glad we tried it out, have been looking at it for a while now. This Mexican restaurant is now my favorite, it has good food and drinks at great prices, my husband had the house margarita (7.00) and I had the 12th Manrita (8.00) Very good. We both ordered street tacos, I ordered the pollo blanco and a steak on taco. Each I think were 2.35 and my husband ordered the carnitas taco. All were very good...had to order more, got another pollo blanco and the caramel asada taco. Onions weren't caramelized enough but they were still very good. I would go here again in a heartbeat. Other food looked good too but I would love to just eat street tacos. Daily specials on the board. Total bill for 2 drinks and 5 tacos 29.02. Service was good and friendly, not sure if they have a full bar or not but they do have tequila. Delicious.

I cannot rate the restaurant in terms of whether or not this is really authentic Mexican Cuisine, but I can say that they serve good food. COA is not on the main street of La Conner. It is on the western edge of town. Locals know about it. My wife and I shared a Fajita; the portion was large and more than adequately fed us. My wife loves Flan, so we were again surprised at the size and quality. I got a second spoon. The coffee that we had was good quality and flavorful.
