Homemade tortiallas from fresh masa made right in front of you. How can you top that. I spent three years in Central America and Mexico and these are the real thing. The place was packed for Sunday lunch and we were the only non-Latinos there. That was a very good sign. Five of us got a couple types of tacos, an order of enchiladas in salsa roja, and horchata to drink. Everything was fresh made and great. We all agreed that we have to go back. There's some good true Mexican food to be had in Chicago but this is the best I've had yet.Note - there is a small carry-out place on the corner. The main restaurant is in the strip-mall next door.

We dropped in during a weeknight street festival so the tiny place was packed. The crowd did not phase the waitresses or food preparers. Adult beverages quickly arrived ahead of the platter of tacos. Teen had two Carne Asada Tacosâthumbs up. I had a shrimp taco, and a Tilapia tacoâboth came with their own special saucesâmuy delicioso! Husband had two tasty tacosâone vege, one chickenâthe vege was particularly good. He recommends getting three tacos due to the small portions. Drinks were above average in mixology and price. Adult cocktails advertised as hand-crafted were pricey. Lemonade was surprisingly exceptionalâcarbonated with smaller bubbles making it effervescent and thirst-quenching. Six taquitos, one red Sangria, one lime Margarita, and one lemonade came to $48 plus tip. Will we return? Chipotle is across the street and a better value. However, I can see myself popping in with a friend some afternoon for a taco and the special lemonade.

Chef Paco is great and really makes this place a destination. His moles are amazing. Tried the enchiladas with 6 different mole sauces. Spectacular. Be prepared to be charmed into dessert or other items. The entire staff is just great and so is the food.

Our group of 5, of whom 2 eat here frequently, enjoyed dinner. We ordered two servings of trout, plus chicken enchiladas, scallops, and a classic chicken dish. Itâs nice to join friends at a restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and a wide variety of delicious, attractive dishes.
