The outside of the restaurant gives the appearance of an old dive bar. The lone, run down, multi-story building sits on the corner away from other restaurants. The beer signs are more prominent than the restaurant name. However, when you enter the actual eating area, it is very quaint and nice. The portions were good and service was fast and friendly. But, the food had no flavor at all. The beef tacos were scrambled hamburger meat without any seasoning. The chicken wasn't much better. Based on the ranking of the restaurant I was expecting much more. They were very busy so maybe at another time it would be better. If you think Mexican food is too spicy, you might like this.

This restaurant caters to the college kids from just up the street at MVC. It bills itself as a pizza and Mexican-ish (Guatemalan?) restaurant and is also a watering hole. We had pizza both times (buffalo chicken, spinach and mushroom) while our grandson had fish tacos. They didn't look very appetizing to me (nor very big), but he likes them. The pizzas were pretty good, I thought, since the crusts were on the crispy side and not the doughy pan pizza type from Pizza Hut. It gets pretty busy in the evenings with inside and outside seating. And, since it is a watering hole, it can also get noisy. There are TV's and a dedicated bar area. The seating is basic, but nobody seems to mind. We had prompt service on one evening and slow service on the next. So, I don't know how it is on average. It's not real cheap but is still reasonable.

Granted this is my standard fallback national chain. I know what to expect with selection, quality, service speed, and price...and generally know that if I need to eat after normal dining hours that they will fit the bill. This location DOES NOT Disappoint. If you like TB, its got my thumbs up approval of those TB locations that make my cut.
