I had heard good things about this establishment but, after eating there, decided that the recommenders are not true foodies and don't have a clue what genuinely good latin american food is. The beef empanadas have very little filling and what was there was substandard, not flavorful. The tacos are ok (we had chicken pollo, the shrimp, and the carne asada). But just ok - nothing special. The salsas (mild and verde) were fresh and appropriate flavored, but you don't go to a restaurant only for the salsa. Since it's the only latin american food in Madisonville, it's better than nothing, but we won't be returning - as it is not top notch. Parking is VERY limited and the restaurant is located right at the foot of the Maidsonville bridge (by the Sunoco station), so it is tricky to park and reverse into the traffic, with SO MUCH traffic,, which is often backed up way past the restaurant - very inconvenient and discouraging.

First time here and we were impressed with the very friendly service. Happy hour is 2-6 with $2 drafts and $4 margaritas. I ordered the red snapper tacos and they were perfectly cooked. You get three of them with two sides. I got the taco soup (delish) and the beans Carboni which comes as a soup also. You should definitely give these people a shot at your Mexican food.

Food was excellent, I had a Chile relleno and the Caretta dinner. The menu called the dinner tex mex but regardless it was delicious. My wife had the Monterrey lunch and our guests had the fajita trio and thought it was really good.

The food here is very good and pleasingly presented however, like many American Mexican restaurants it is not a traditional Mexican fare. Still, the service is generally very good and prices certainly competitive. We come here regularly. The reason we do not give it a 5 is the noise level is so high as there seems to be little to absorb it and it is generally a dark restaurant.

I have never had anything here that I dont like (unlike other mexican line made-to-order places). You order at the counter and tell them what toppings you would like similar to Subway and it is always full of flavor! The ingredients are always fresh, they do a great job of keeping the line moving and I love the tacos! the nachos, burritos, burrito bowls and salads are all great and all of the ingredients are completely under your control for customization.
