Ixtapa is in our weekly rotation of local restaurants. Food is always fresh and plentiful. I have several favorites including the Ixtapa burrito, Enchiladas Del Mar (shirmp) and many of the daily specials. I also like the Skinny Margarita (might as well get the Ixtapa size for $2 more!) and the mojito. Alfredo and his family are always working and a pleasure to deal with.
Even though this a new location, this is my first time trying any of Aca's restaurants. Also first time trying a torta. This is a sit down restaurant with a quick serve menu. Prices are more quick service style as well. Most tortas are $9-10 and for only 75 cents more you can combo it with fries and drink. Think this was my first time eating fries solo at a Mexican food place, but they fit with the sandwich. Tasty too. Went with a Monterey torta and for a first time torta, it was quite good. There are other standard entrees like burritos on the menu as well. Service was great and the dining room was clean. Glad this place is only about 15 minutes from my place. I find myself eating here or any of their locations again,

Taqueria El Antojo has several locations in the Puget Sound area with restaurants in Tacoma, Lakewood, University Place, and Lynnwood. I go to the Lynnwood location a couple times a month. My favorite is the Carne Asada, but everything I've tried is quite good. I would give them 5 starts except the kitchen slips a little at peak meal times. They are just moving too much food so the preparation can suffer a little. The best time is late afternoon for an early supper before the dinner rush. The fresh salsas are excellent and I love the pickled carrots, onions, and jalapenos. They even have a drive-up window but I always go inside. This is not a fancy place. This is one of the places honest, hard working people go for good food at good prices. It's very popular with the Latino population. You order at the counter and they deliver to the table. The counter staff switches between English and Spanish so quickly it makes my head spin. This is reliable good food at an excellent price.

When we want something semi south of the border that's NOT too hot or expensive, Azeteca usually works just fine. Super service, plenty of room for large groups, nice average prices and even the chips and dip before you officially order are made on site and they are warm and tasty. When you think tacos, enchiladas, rice/beans, think Azteca.......good stuff.

On a shopping trip, my husband and I stopped in for a quick lunch. Having never been there, wasn't sure what to expect. First impression was to choose "to go". Atmosphere was too sterile for my taste; booths of wood, loud music. I chose a steak salad option. The servers who were constructing it were friendly and answered my questions about the choices. It would be helpful to label the items. The resulting salad was very tasty with exceptional guacamole and a tasty red sauce. My husband ordered a burrito with all the fixins and ate every bite. I will visit again but will enjoy at home.

The tacos were very good, the cleanliness of the table, not so much. They order takers work double duty delivering food to the tables and clearing the tables. They need another person to help with that and wipe the tables too. Order taker failed to deliver my chips when after reminding them. I was done with my meal and decided to leave without ever getting them.

You can have a blast at this restaurant. I recommend the chunks of beef -"Tabasco Chile Colorado (tender and tasty) on a bed of rice and beans. For an appetizer, you can't beat shredded shrimps (Nuvo Purota ). Seafood is good with Cabo San Lucas Camarones .. If you need my help, call me and I will be happy to dine with you on your bill. Enjoy
