We have dines at this store front location many times. We have NEVER had a bad meal or service. We have eaten there for lunch and dinner, each time well sated and overwhelmed by the staff. Each time we have ordered different items and each were equally excellent. A must return and should be added to your list of go to Mexican!!!

This is a neighborhood family place all the way. It's in a commercial strip along a main street in suburban Lynchburg... with some apartment and housing complexes nearby. You're greeted with a rousing 'Ola!' from everyone including the owners' daughter who was helping the night we were there.(The daughter happened to be one of our grand daughters best friend) Our daughter knew to order both the regular and the spicy salsa... which came with fresh chips. The spicy was perfect...as it was just enough to 'light your lips on fire' according to my youngest grand daughter. There is an extensive entree selection... from enchiladas to seafood to fajitas. Grand daughters had tacos and Mac & Cheese... daughter had a grande burrito that was loaded with meat & beans... wife had tacos al carbon(chicken)... and I had shredded chicken enchiladas verdes. All fixed to perfection... and all with enough spice to accentuate the Mexican spirit. Note: my tomatillo sauce had a nice hint of lime and sweetness that really sparked the dish.Don't be shocked when you get the bill. You'll think that they left off a couple of things, because these prices are cheap, really cheap. It's one of the best values you'll find in Lynchburg or anywhere else. The service is friendly and efficient. The food make take a few extra minutes, because everything is made to order. There is on street parking in the front or a lot in the back.

When we are at the hospital or Drs offices and are finished during lunch we always check out La Carreta. The staff is always friendly and nice and are sympathetic to my Spanish vocabulary. Their is a great selection for lunch and if u want, u can order something from the regular menu. My wife and I have had many entrees and were never disappointed. They keep the drinks, chips and salsa filled to a sated state. My favorites are the tamales, relinos and pork. The prices are very reasonable and you will never leave hungry; u may take some home with u. Also try the tomatillo salsa, it's a little spicy. Can't wait for my next visit.

Salsa is delicious. I had carnitas again since I enjoyed it so much last time. Wasn't disappointed. Table also tried Pico guac which is wonderful, enchiladas, beef tamales, tacos and shrimp fajitas. Draft XX beer and margaritas. All good! Sopapillas for dessert ended a great meal on a perfect note. Prices are good and staff is great!

This restaurant was recommended by a friend. It had a 20 minute wait, but we waited no more than 10 minutes before being seated. The chips and dips are amazing and our food was delicious. We couldn't believe how quickly everything was served. We will definitely be coming back each time I head down to visit my daughter!

Eclectic tequila bar serving simple fresh tacos. Located in the heart of downtown Lynchburg! Walk into a restored and repurposed garage, and enjoy a unique dining experience with an open kitchen, friendly bar service, and plenty of deck and patio seating.
After a less than stellar first experience a few months ago (reviewed previously), we decided to return for another try. What a difference! The service was excellent and efficient, and the food arrived quickly/accurately and was excellent. It certainly seems (from my limited sample size of two) that things have improved significantly in the last few months. We will certainly be returning!
