While this is certainly not authentic Mexican and they don't claim to be, the offerings here are better than other chains of the same ilk. One of the things that sets it off is the potato ole's. This is solid non hamburger fast food

Though the interior won't win any desigtn awards or magazine covers, the food couild win something. This place has some of the best little tacos we've had anywhere and our daughter loves their enchiladas. Thats all we've really ever tried but everything else we've seen looks good.
In Lexington you have a variety or Gispanic stores, markets and restaurants. While the food is great at each of our local Hispanic restaurants, there seems to be an edge that some restaurants have for others. Rosario's TaquerÃa, is no exception. BTW, I think the name of this restaurant is incorrect and I've notified Trip Advisor but I do not believe it has changed. While you can get burritos and tortas (Mexican sandwiches), the basic carne asada taco cannot be beat. If you have never had authentic Mexican food before, the flavor experience is quite different. In fact, there is very little that an authentic Mexican taco has in common with commercial tacos from a restaurant like Taco Bell. The carne asada or chopped steak tacos are perfect from this restaurant. They are simple, homemade white corn tortillas, meat, cilantro, onions and your choice of home made salsa. They are less than $2 each and I usually get about 4-5 and I'm good to go. You also have Mexican sources sodas and refreshing tamarind and horchata beverages. I've had the torta sandwiches and burritos and they do a great job with those too. Don't expect a bunch of extras. I do believe that you do not get chips and salsa with your meal and there is no salsa bar and at times, it can take around 10 minutes to get your food but like I always say, you can't rush perfection. The restaurant itself is newer and the atmosphere is quiet and there is plenty of space.

Hubby said he had the best spinach enchiladas ever,my mom had chili rellanos and said they were good. I had a burrito and enchilada that were both exactly the same. Daughter ordered cheese enchiladas and got beef but ate them anyway. Pretty good and clean.
