Lewiston (English pronunciation: /ˈluːɪstən/, French pronunciation: /ˈluːɪstə/; officially the City of Lewiston, Maine) is the second largest city in Maine and the most central city in Androscoggin County. The city borders the coastal sideways of the Gulf of Maine and is south of Augusta, the state's capital and north of Portland, the cultural hub of Maine. It is one-half of the Lewiston-Auburn Metropolitan Statistical Area, commonly referred to as "L.A." or "L-A." Lewiston exerts a significant impact upon the diversity, religious variety, commerce, education, and economic power of Maine. It is known for a relatively low cost of living, substantial access to medical care, and an extremely low violent crime rate. While the dominant language spoken in the city is English, it is home to the largest French-speaking population in the United States (by population) while it is second to St. Martin Parish, Louisiana, in percentage of speakers.

The margaritas that we normally enjoyed seemed watered down, with lots of ice and not much drink. I requested extra cilantro with my order, but there was no cilantro at all; only scallions. Also, there was no cilantro in the guacamole. The steak in my husband's fajitas was overdone. Normally, they are much better than this.We appreciate your feedback Barbara, and we're sad to learn that you're so disappointed. We would never intentionally 'water down' any of our beverages.. please don't hesitate to mention it to your server if it ever seems this way again! We're sorry for missing your cilantro. We certainly did not mean to make such a mistake. Oh.. and you're correct! We no longer put cilantro in our guacamole. If you ever want any, please just let us know! We truly appreciate you coming in, and we apologize for any inconvenience. We hope to see you and your husband again sometime soon!

After reading reviews and people saying this is genuine Mexican food, I thought I'd give it a chance. Mistake! It reminded me of what a school cafeteria might serve on Mexican food day. Nachos were a neatly lined ONE layer of chips on a small paper plate, covered in canned cheese, and terrible hamburger. That's why it's so affordable. There's nothing there. This place confuses me. I would imagine it could be quite successful with some decent food. I've never been to Mexico, maybe this is authentic? If anything I'd refer to it was TexMex.Won't go back. When we got there it said they closed at 9, it was 8:00 and the sign and outside lights were off.
Pochos is located in Lewiston on Lisbon Street and shares the building with Coast to Coast Gas Station. The have a bar style seating with open kitchen which is cozy and gives you great opportunity to interact with El Pochos' Staff and watch your food as i
Very tiny (3 bench seats that seat 3 people each). Small selection of foods but what they serve is excellent. I had a giant beef taco salad that was really good. The couple sharing my bench had tacos and they said they were excellent. They only have those Mexican sodas (not even water) but they share an entrance with a convenience store that has any drink you want ;except hard liquor). It's worth a visit.
