I like Mexican food. Stopped here as a test. Always try beef tacos and cheese enchiladas. Both were terrific. Tacos were crisp and appeared fried on premises. Cheese enchilada was hot, cheese inside was melted. Free bowl of chips and a good salsa completed the test. Passed with flying colors. Will be back soon.

Went here with family, daughter, grandchildren. My first time but they have all eaten here before. Excellent tasting food and a very good price. They have a sauce "bar" where you can get additional sauces for your food. Their roasted peppers are terrific. Real street tacos and very good food with good sized portions. Have already recommended this place to other family members. Small shopping center and not a lot of parking spaces.Order at counter, sit down and they bring it to you.
Here for lunch on Cinco de Mayo, almost nobody in the place, which seemed kind of weird.Anyway, the chips and salsa were quite good. Nice flavor in the salsa without being overbearing. The meals were good, nothing special.Service was kinda slow, seeing as there wasn't anyone around.
The place is small with a small area to eat inside. Not sure I'd recommend eating at the seated area since people waiting for their orders may be looking over your shoulder while you eat. I ordered a smothered ground beef burrito but they asked me if I wanted a breakfast burrito or a lunch burrito. My first thought was Huh? After they explained the difference, I ordered a couple of lunch steak burritos that came with steak rolled up inside the tortilla along with guacamole, sour cream, rice, tomatoes, etc. and some green chili smothered on the outside. It was tasty and for a very fair price. I will go back again to try some other menu items. You know it must be good when there are 10 Hispanic people waiting to get orders to go. They know good Mexican food and evidently this is the place to go in Louisville. I asked what style of Mexican food they offered and the lady asked the cook who said it's a style you would find in Jalisco whose capital city is Guadalajara. For convenience, I'd suggest ordering food to go rather than waiting in line. The food was prepared quickly, but there can be many people in front of you depending on the time of day you arrive.
Typically, the service is great at this location. However, our last 3 visits have been below average due to our wait staff. It seems we're waiting longer for refills and last night the waitress had to fix our ticket because she didn't enter our coupon and then couldn't get the credit card machine to work. Took up an extra 15 minutes of our time...

There are at least 2 other Mexican restaurants in the immediately area that are much better.. That being said, the outer building is quite attractive, and as there is an indoor stairway, I believe there is an upstairs eating area. There is a bar as part of it, but I was there for breakfast, and didn't access it. The other thing going for it was how quick and friendly the server was. The food, although ample, was pretty standard micro waved fare, and that was ok for the rice and beans, did not add to the huevos rancheros, which I fear were not what I was hoping for before they were even microwaved. The price was good.
Brilliant new addition to the area. Carefully and freshly prepared dishes that remind one what Mexican food is supposed to be. The tacos are simply superb, perfect texture and flavor. We just now discovered them, and tried as many different dishes as we could manage, but will be back soon for more. The venue is calm, pleasant, with outdoor seating available, and muzak that actually consists of music, vs the noise one has to put up with in most restaurants these days. Certainly seems like this is the best food choice in Lafayette at the moment, and the best Mexican choice in the area, including "foodie" Boulder.

A nice place. Tacos had nice flavor, as did the salsa with which they were served. Good service.A bit small on the portion, but not so much it was bad value, just average there.

Don't get me wrong, I like Efrain's. The food does seem more authentic, but it is not to die for, and a bit bland. I often get the Efrain's Burrito, which is a mystery burrito. A lot of food for the price. Their shredded chicken is very tasty as well. The restaurant is not very clean, though. They really need to do and updating of the interior. But if you want some decent Mexican food, this place good for that.

It was nearly 80 degrees on a Sunday in March in Colorado so we decided to have lunch outside dressed in shorts. We beat the noon time after-church crowd and ordered a chili relleno plate and a smothered burrito with Al Pastor as the meat. Very tasty and hard to beat the price. But it isn't fancy, no free chips and salsa, limited seating - mostly outdoors. Many just get their food and go. Can be busy if you don't time it right.
