Monster Tacos, aka "Mesquite Grill & Taco Factory," is on my short short list of good lunch or breakfast options in La Porte. One taco is satisfying, two is even better (but I definitely feel FULL on two). Their specialty, the Smoked Sirloin is stuffed with 3/4 of a pound of real steak, cooked with Carne Guisada seasoning and filled out with fresh Pico De Gallo, cheddar, beans all in a home-made tortilla.Free refill of your drink, even if it's a can or a bottle of Mexican Coke.Service has always been extremely friendly, but when they run out of something they are out. I saw the cook preparing some Red Snapper for tacos, and I think I'll try that next.Chef is not above coming up front and cranking up the radio when something good comes on! (We both ended up singing along to it out loud. Good times.)

Oh I had wish I had my cell Phone camera on. I went up to the counter and and saw the boy making orders on the food prep table grab a piece of chicken and eat it, with his mouth just chump ping up and down eating with his mouth wide open, last Thursday 4-16 , a girl came up to the counter to get my order and i said is he supposed to be eating on top that prep table , she said hes not eating I said I saw him put food in his mouth and look at his jaw after that i just left,there's other better food some where here in La porte I wish the health department would make its rounds here.

Casa Anita is a wonderful Mexican restaurant in LaPorte that has great food for a reasonable price. Excellent selection for all different types of people. Fabulous gacomole and the enchiladas are great. A good choice for any day of the week!!

Was looking for a local place for lunch a saw the El Ranchero sign while driving thru LaPorte. We were seated immediately by the friendly staff. Being on diets, we tried to order lighter fare. My wife had the summer special and I had the taco salad. Both were seasoned just right and were very good. They have a very good selection on their menu and their prices are good.

i'm actually not an expert in Mexican dishes. but the staff at el toro are very helpful in suggesting plates for their patrons. the people i visited with are big time fans of Tex Mex and they love this place. i enjoyed my visit thoroughly. nice people, pleasant atmosphere and i did enjoy the food...Thank you for your recent visit to El Toro. With Mexican Food on every block in this part of the world Gringoâs is average at best. I found it to be overcrowded and hurried. Service was average and the prices were as well. It certainly is not an hour wait good.
