Authentic Mexican and Latin American cuisine paired with Croatian Craft beer & cocktails. Fresh ingredients all around!
My girlfriend and I visited the restaurant for an early lunch. We are burrito addicts. Every city we visit we try the best rated burrito available to see if it can beat our homelands best, Boojum. The restaurant is very quaint with Mexican music playing in the background. Upon looking at the menu, the prices were very affordable considering what we were to get. The one server that was working at the time was very pleasant and served us promptly. The Anafre we had for starters was lovely, literally the best tortilla chips I have ever had. Their refried beans and veg mix was also the best dipping option I have ever had. We both had the vegetarian burrito for our mains. They offer a wet or dry version of each burrito. We opted for dry as we thought that it would mean that we could pick it up, which is how we prefer to eat a burrito. However, it came on a plate covered in salsa and sour cream so we had to use cutlery (not that this was bad). The burrito itself was massive, may more than we needed after the starter. I would really recommend Mexican or Tex-Mex lovers to visit To Je Tako. It not only offered a very satisfying meal for vegetarians but also didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Our apartment in Split was only yards away and so it was inevitable that we would try this bistro. Our initial visit was for a late night plate of soup following our evening arrival, but first impressions were good and we returned for two evening meals during the course of our stay. The bistro is well established and has a good reputation. It specialises in Mexican food, but we stuck to the daily choices menu, enjoying dishes such as meatballs with mashed potatoes, local beef stew and seafood pasta - all very good.
