$8.75 for Mahi Mahi tacos. Tasted great and great value for Maui. Several places we ate on Maui were overrated and overpriced. I am fine paying more for a great dining experience but many places we ate were a disappointment so a quick taco here was a good find.
A Kihei local recommended this small family run business . Seats 12.. Open until 5 pm. Best for lunch or takeout for dinner Authentic Mexican good and Mexican groceries available as well. Burritos and Enchiladas were excellent. We got to the restaurant at 3:00 pm on a Tuesday and it was busy Difficult to find as in an industrial area. Best directions are ...its right beside the batting cages ( on the north side of the cages ) in a industrial building
If youâre in the Makena or Wailea area and looking for a bite this food truck is not to be missed! The food was fast fresh and authentic. We tried the fish tacos, chicken and shrimp burritos and nachos (chicken and cheese) and all were delicious. One of the few food places Iâd come back to again in Maui. Look for the silver truck!

We always have a problem finding places to eat after 8-9pm Sunday nights and thankfully we found this place! Open till 10! It's a cute small little place open next to Shaka pizza. The prices are great and you get big portions! They were friendly and answered any questions we had. I got the rice and beans and the rice was fabulous. My friends got one of almost everything, and they loved it all. It looked great. I'm giving it 4 stars because I'm a little disappointed they didn't have some kind of veggie option for burritos or tacos..

I make sure to visit La Tienda every time I visit Maui. Just went twice in March and the Fish Ceviche Tostada [raw fish cooked with Lime] is just perfect. Fish, Lime, Tomatoes, diced onion, pink sauce on a crisp tostada - just a spectacular dish for less than $6. I always order 2 but if taking out, eat within 20 minutes as the Tostada will not stay crisp too long. Seats 12 people inside but I suggest take out and have it at the beach with your favorite Cold beer. 3 different Hot Sauces are in containers to the right of the cashier near the kitchen door - don't forget to try them! ENJOY !!

We went with our toddler grandbaby and got great service. Space is a little limited but the high chair worked out great. The tacos were very authentic and there was some variety for fun. They have daily specials, happy hour and coupons can be found in the tourist magazines found at the airport.

We ate here with another couple one night when we were on the hunt for Mexican food. Personally I didnât enjoy my dish but the other 4 in my party enjoyed theirs. I would say it was an average place. Not bad but not particularly good either.

My spouse has been on a roll with giving me great recommendations on restaurants Iâve never been to! My friend who came along also had a great experience here, so two positives should be enough confirmation. ATMOSPHERE:Theyâre located in the Azeka Shopping Center in the south wing where the gas station is. Itâs a quaint eatery with high ceilings which gives that airy feeling. Thereâs a small bar and low tops throughout. MENU:All the traditional Mexican fare including a childrenâs menu and a handful of desserts. They also have an arsenal of tequila along with cocktails and beer. BEVERAGE:Hawaiian Hibiscus Margarita - $11.00Iâve had hibiscus juice in Mexico and liked it. Itâs similar to fruit punch but not as sweet. Combining that in a margarita sounded refreshing so this was an easy choice. I got it on the rocks, no salt. It was put together well with the perfect amount of alcohol and juice. FOOD:Burrito Grande - $13.99I added ground beef for $3.99 more. IMO, ground beef is the quintessential meat for anything Mexican as itâs easy to eat, eliminating the need for silverware or âtooth-cuttingâ. And, I prefer its texture compared to strips of steak. The burrito comes loaded with rice (which I axed), refried beans, cheese, sour cream, pico de gallo, grilled bell peppers, grilled onions and oddly mozzarella cheese, topped with a drizzle of sour cream. Yum, yum, yum. Soft and fresh tortilla, tasty filling, good portion size. My only complaint is the onions couldâve grilled more. SERVICE:We were immediately greeted and seated by Hugh who ended up being our server. Very friendly and professional guy for his young age. A small hiccup with my order was immediately fixed without hassle as I received my burrito without ground beef. Thank you! OVERALL:Any Mexican eatery that serves ground beef is a winner in my book! Good food and service. A nice alternative to my favorite local Mexican chain.
