Good was very good. Live music outside last night (Friday). The Owner (Mike) and his wife really do want to know about your experience - good or bad - to make sure you enjoyed your meal. Currently only serving Mexican food but they are adding a Peruvian menu within the next month. Will definitely make this a regular place to eat.

In a land filled with Mexican/Tex-Mex dining options it's no surprise that many good ones get passed over. Puerta Vieja is worth a visit. How many local spots go beyond the obvious aforementioned choices and offer Salvadorian and Peruvian cuisine? At this restaurant it's about the food....and oh....the beer is cold.

This was the first and last time I'll visit this place. Immediately upon opening the door, there was a smell that reminded me of sewage mixed with nail polish remover. We decided to give it a shot anyway. I ordered fish tacos and shrimp tacos. The shrimp was OK, the fish had no seasoning. Both needed more Baja sauce. It was basically the meat, some slaw and a tortilla. My wife's cheeseburger also had little to no seasoning, not even salt and pepper. My child's pork sliders fared little better. I'm not surprised that even during the busiest part of the lunch hour, there were only 3 occupied tables. I won't be going back

There are so many great Mexican restaurants around that it's hard to set apart a new one. We loved the chips here! They're almost like a Frito only wider and the salsa was good. We ate way too many! Our beers were served in icy cold mugs and the beer tasted very crisp and refreshing. Our fajitas were good enough and we were given ample warm tortillas. The place is very clean and nice and our service was excellent so no complaints. There is a large enclosed patio in addition to ample indoor seating.Hi Clare,Thank you for the four star review. Glad you enjoyed the excellent service, icy cold beer and our unique corn tortilla chips, something only found at Mexican Inn Cafe. Anyone that wants delicious Mexican food and the best margaritas north of Mexico should make the trip to Martha's.My wife and I have been here a hundred times. The steak and chicken fajitas for two are excellent. The meats are flavorful and cooked to perfection.Martha is the owner and takes immense pride in the quality of her signature restaurant. Her son, Danny, is an amazing addition to the culture and makes margaritas that will make you smile.The wait staff is friendly and professional and the atmosphere is great. On Thursday through Saturday nights, I highly recommend making reservations because there is usually a massive waiting list.Martha's is always closed on Sundays, so don't wait to end your weekend on a high note and be disappointed because they believe in giving their family a day to relax.

I have lived in DFW over 30 years and have never found that "special" Tex-Mex food until today. Absolutely the best enchiladas ever, full of flavor and just plain darn good. The black bean dip is wonderful. Very different and very good. The salsa was tops and the warm chips must be home made, very light and flavorful. We will certainly be back.

The only thing good about his place is the service and the chips and salsa. I had cheese enchiladas with Ranchero sauce. I've had Ranchero sauce at many restaurants before and no stranger to it and this was an abomination of large pieces of chopped tomatoes and a few spices. When I looked at it, my first thought was, did they just chop up some stewed tomatoes and pour it over the enchiladas? Their refried beans and rice were tasteless and very small portions. The guacamole was also tasteless! What a disappointment. I haven't felt so taken in many many years. I should have paid for my soda and just walked out of the place.

Our first visit and we were impressed. We arrived about 5 pm for early dinner. Already a number of customers there. We were seated at a booth as requested and handed menus. Chips and salsa arrived just after we were seated. Had a choice of salsa and we picked the milder one which had just a little hotness to it and was delicious. Server arrived soon after we were seated. She introduced herself and asked what we wanted to drink. She returned quickly with beverages and asked if we wanted an appetizer or had any questions on menu. We asked about the sauces. She asked if we need some more time. We said yes. Lots of choices to consider. We ordered Beef Burrito Deluxe which queso sauce and 3 Verde Chicken Enchiladas. The burrito was huge and the enchiladas were served with choice of beans and rice. Food was served piping hot and we both really liked it. Half of the burrito was taken home. The enchiladas were the right size for eating all 3 of them. Server kept beverages refilled. She asked if we wanted desert. We didn't as we were too full. Bill was correct and process quickly. Overall an excellent dining experience.
