Located on Hawaiâi Island, 10 miles south of Kailua-Kona and right on Mamalahoa Highway in the small town of Captain Cook, Shaka Tacoz is becoming a community staple and must-visit tourist hot-spot. Known for our tacos and incredible view of the south Kon
Not all i heard it was but still a good taco, I went with pork but they have many options including fresh catch of the day.Mahalo for your feedback! We strive to offer the best taco on the big island, while providing exception service. We hope you give us another chance to meet your standards.

Decent authentic Mexican food. Portion sizes are ok, not huge, but definitely enough for a whole meal. There werenât many locals there, only tourists. It seemed pretty clean, it was small, maybe 10 tables. The hostess was also the cashier and the server. I donât think they get much business. Corn tortillas were the real deal though!

In the Keahou shopping center.
I ride 7 miles from downtown Kona, cross he border at Kahaluu to Los Habaneros, for authentic Mexican grinds. Lunch today was Carnitas Burrito with home made hot sauce. Hip Mexican music playing while I enjoy this meal. I usually add a Modelo Negro but Iâm on the bike today so just some agua. There was a second Habaneros restaurant, but this walk-in dive-style original is still my favorite. Easy ordering, fast prep, eating in minutes. Nice vibe, casual and friendly.Aside from getting hot sauce on my phone from typing and eating, itâs a perfect experience!
