Reviews on Mexican food in Juneau, Alaska, United States. Because of its ideal location between the base of Mount Juneau and the Gastineau Channel, the Southeastern Alaskan city of Juneau has been the home of Native American fisherman, European fur traders, and American gold prospectors. Now a free-spirited state capital, Juneau is the perfect base for a journey into the gorgeous Alaskan wilderness, whether it's for fishing, kayaking, and dog sledding in the National Parks, whale-watching at Icy Strait, or glacier hiking at the Juneau Icefield.

We're huge foodies from southern Arizona and I scoffed at my wife getting tacos in Alaska. I have to say these were some of the best I've ever had! We had both the lingua and king crab tacos. Perfect tortilla and the salsas were amazing with just the right amount of heat and flavor. These are better than most of the tacos you can get in Tucson, Az!
Nice place to stop into as we walked around and served a variety of flavours that we enjoyed. The people who served us were able to understand our different dlalects.

While Alaska is known for its great seafood, not so much for Mexican food until now. Mar y Sol (Sea and Sun) started as a food truck and has transitioned into brick and mortar restuarant. They serve made from scratch, from the freshest items possible to create delicious dishes. The street tacos are flavorful and tasty. One if their specialties is shrimp/halibut ceviche tostada that is out of this world. Give this mom and pop place a try, you won't be disappointed.

This place is terrible. The food is bland, tasteless, icky. We got tacos, enchiladas and nachos. The meat seemed boiled and didn't even have salt! The chips tasted of oil and were a little stale. Never again! We're going to El Zarape.

Tucked next to the Red Dog saloon. Nice menu selection. However the chicken tacos we had were really dry. The salsa was good. I guess for a touristy place this isn't bad. I am not sure it's worth the restaurant prices. Hello WestsideChuck, thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate your opinion. ill make sure that our chicken tacos are not dry, this is the first time ive heard this but next time you come visit us, I encourage you to give it another shot. Thank you for choosing Little Mexico!

I asked for their recommendation plate, flatas also their flan and hibiscus drink. It took a long while waiting for our order, they forgot to charge for the flan and charged me again separately. The flatus were deep fried, crispy exterior, but there wasn't all that much substance to this dish. Their hibiscus drink I thought was overly sweet, that I stopped about halfway. The flan was overcooked, dense, not jiggly. Overall, pretty expensive for a lack luster dining experience. Not recommended.
