Las Palmas was a real gem just steps from the beach. The mahi fish tacos and fresh made guacamole and chips were perfect for a light lunch. The ambience is great with tents and tables for eating while you listened to great Motown music. The owner is so friendly and she recommended some places to see while we were here. I went back twice while staying in Kailua Kona and will come back my next time here.

This is a very reasonably priced Mexican restaurant with authentic Mexican food. We had a taco salad, 3 taco plate special and Carna Asada which were all very good. Watch out the salsa it is very hot but good. We will be back.

Stopped in for drinks/pupus with no real expectations-enjoyed it so much, we came back twice more on our 1 week trip! Always had good service, great drinks, and the food was delicious! One of our favorites in Kona!

This location is actually a walkup window, take out establishment. They do have two picnic tables, but the location can't really be considered conducive to dining. The food is of excellent quality & flavor, but Is fairly pricy... Even by Hawaiian standards. In all fairness, it's a great spot to grab a walk around lunch or takeout meal.

In the Keahou shopping center.
I ride 7 miles from downtown Kona, cross he border at Kahaluu to Los Habaneros, for authentic Mexican grinds. Lunch today was Carnitas Burrito with home made hot sauce. Hip Mexican music playing while I enjoy this meal. I usually add a Modelo Negro but Iâm on the bike today so just some agua. There was a second Habaneros restaurant, but this walk-in dive-style original is still my favorite. Easy ordering, fast prep, eating in minutes. Nice vibe, casual and friendly.Aside from getting hot sauce on my phone from typing and eating, itâs a perfect experience!

The food was good and the prices were good. Seems like more of a place for locals than tourist, which is what we like to find it when we are on vacation. The rental car place is right across the street. Very convenient location and Target is around the corner.
