7/11/2014 My family and I ate at this location for dinner. It is located off the highway an exit or two before the Outlet center in Cypress. The chips and salsa were very good(maybe homemade) because it did not have a jar or canned taste and my family and I have not had GOOD restaurant salsa in a LONG time. If you are watching carbs I would suggest eating only three of the chips(because they are HUGE)and breaking them in half.Monterey Ranch chicken Fajitas...$13.99...Flag cheese..99cents...Spinach and Mushroom Quesadillas...$7.99...The Ultimate Fajitas...$14.99...(2) Teas...$2.49 each. After we ordered we noticed the Happy Hour items once we turned around the advertisement on the table. So look at them before ordering. They had certain items on them that are half off until 7pm daily but you must eat in the bar area. We didn't realize we were in the bar area and considering our server DID NOT mention it(as most places we visit inform us of special menu items and Happy Hour specials) that would have been good information we thought. Our server Angela made sure our glass never went empty so the" SMILE less" not so customer friendly service was ok. And also gave us the wrong ticket that was cheaper than what we ordered but we are decent people and informed her we had paid a lesser amount(STILL NO Smile but a dumb -ss look on her face when we mentioned it to her and to re- print our correct ticket). She still received a nice tip but I tell you some(not all) service folks need to realize HARD WORKING people can spend their money ANYWHERE.

We had reservations for 5 pm at this restaurant. Two of our party arrived at 4:45 pm to a completely empty restaurant (except for the employees). The host made a spectacle showing me the reservation that was set for 5 pm and asked us to wait at the door the 15 minutes to be seated. I asked him to go ahead and seat us and with unhappy looks and much sighing, he went back to prepare the table. Apparently, this was too much to ask.The waiter acted like we were bothering him. When we asked for water, he rolled his eyes. He took one person's order and did not ask the rest of the table. When he came with my friend's food, I asked if he could please take my order. It was as though I'd asked him for the moon! He took the order looking away. I would have ordered a few other things to try but I was obviously bothering him so much, I decided not to do that. When he brought it to me, if was wrong and with a great pained look he took it back to the kitchen. He never took orders from the rest of the table. The food: I ordered cheese enchiladas with green sauce. They arrived with gravy. The green sauce was watered down and I could not find cheese in the enchilada. I also ordered pico de gallo. It must have been made two weeks ago as it was old and inedible. I shudder to think what goes on in that kitchen. The salsa was like you'd buy from the supermarket. The chips were thin and tasteless. The entire time we were there, only a handful of customers trickled in. They made us feel so unwelcome, none of us will ever go back. I was very happy to get out of there, go home and find something to eat. Horrible experience.

Julio's Cantina

We were in Houston to stay at Salem Lutheran Church while assisting with Hurricane Harvey recovery. Julio’s was recommended highly and located nearby. We enjoyed the warm red salsa and chips and margaritas as we watched several large parties gather for parties. I enjoyed the Julio’s Special of taco, chalupa, queso puff, and enchilada that I had seen pictured in an earlier helpful review. The others in my party really enjoyed the fajitas!

This was our first visit while we were in town visiting family. Our party of 8 was promptly seated with our server Jesus. We sat outside. Everyone around recommended the steak fajitas and they did not disappoint. The chips and queso were very good to start us off. The service was good considering we had a big group. I would return when we are back in town!

Love their food. Great service & great prices. Love the outdoor patio. Someone mentioned that part of their meal came out separately. You get your cold plate first and then your hot plate, as with most Mexican restaurants I've been to.Great place for when our family gets together.
