Amigos y Familia is an excellent restaurant in Hearne, Texas; It's a good restaurant.
Food is the most important part of a restaurant to me. I loved my meal. Was great tasting, hot & prices are very reasonable. We will be back!!!

While I have eaten here on a number of occasions, my wife had no recollection of ever being at Mary's El Alamo, so I took her here for lunch on a Saturday. We drove from Bryan, Texas, just to have lunch at this cafe, which has been in operation since 1972. This is a family run cafe that specializes in Mexican (Tex-Mex) and American dishes. The service is friendly and attentive and the food is delicious and served in a timely manner. We both enjoyed our menu selections. For a delightful dining experience, visit El Alamo.

Stopped in here while traveling through Hearne. The service was quick and friendly. The food was good but not great. I had the enchilada verdes and my son had the soft tacos. We were both satisfied and full after themeal.
We were promptly greeted at the door by the host and immediately seated. He took our drink order right away after seating us. Our young waiter, Freddy, greeted us shortly thereafter and did a fantastic job taking care of us the rest of the meal. Overall A+ on the service. The menu is well varied and not only Mexican entrees. They also have steaks and seafood. We ordered steak and shrimp fajitas for two. The beef and shrimp were very tasty and well prepared. The sides were plentiful and fresh. The tortillas were fresh and homemade. Overall this restaurant is a great find in this small town.
