We don't have a Chipotle in our area so when traveling I often pick one to stop at as a quick food option (much better than any fast food restaurants). This restaurant had a line to the door at 1pm on a Wednesday but they were quick to still get us through. The place was a little messy but they were all busy. Food was good as usual. Everything on their menu with the exception of the flour tortillas and chorizo is gluten free.

Stopped here after getting my SUV Washed across the street at Duke's. I asked two gentlemen enjoying their food for sugestions and they said "everything". I tried (5) tacos with beef brisket and pork shoulder. They came with fresh lime and cilantro. These tacos were amazingly authenic and delicious. I highly recommend stopping here for a quick bite. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. They have (2) hot sauces, red and green. The green is the hottest. Enjoy.

Based on the fact that we were just about the only gringoes in the place, I cannot refute El Sol's claim that they offer authentic Mexican food. But, we've eaten a lot of Mexican food in California, Texas, Arizona, Mexico, Pennsylvania and Virginia, so we do have some idea of how good Mexican good can be. El Sol seems to offer two options: bland and greasy or add hot sauce. Nice people, but nasty food. Over the years, I've learned that I don't always like "authentic", whether it be Thai, Indian, Mexican or whatever.

We had a very enjoyable family dinner here after leaving Massanutten Resort. The staff were friendly. Service was fast and efficient. Prices were very reasonable. The food was probably the best and most authentic Mexican food we have had in the States. Will definitely come here again while in the area.

Fridays mean packed restaurants, so we used Jalapeno's on-line ordering. We placed six orders for our family's weekly get together. Everything was correct except they forgot to include the flour tortillas for the fajitas . . . but otherwise all was good. I particularly like the "Make Your Own" bowl. The chicken with the brown rice is my favorite.

Went here for dinner while down for as visit to JMU. Simply based off google search and wanted Mexican food. Was a little concerned when realized it was in a strip mall/shopping center...but once inside, was impressed. Don't let that deter you. The atmosphere was great, very festive and fun, really set the mood. Menu is amazing, almost too many choices (wish we lived in the area so we could go back more often to try more dishes!) Our waiter was great, very attentive and helpful. All of our meals were excellent - you could tell it was made fresh and authentic. Good value too. Dessert looked awesome too, unfortunately was too full from our meals. Hats off to them! We will definitely visit again next time we are in the area - can't wait!

This is a family favorite. Not a week goes by that we don't make a visit here to eat. The restaurant is always clean and well maintained. The staff is polite and friendly, just like part of our family. There is nothing on the menu that isn't yummy! This is a popular college hang-out but not a bar! If you make a visit to Harrisonburg, make a stop by here.

Four of us went for lunch. The margherita flatbread, bacon burger, enchiladas and chicken fajitas were all delicious. The only thing we didn't like was the chips and salsa. We commented to the waitress that they were way too salty and she said it's up to the cook who sprinkles the salt. He/she needs to lighten up on the salt! Airelle, our waitress, was very friendly and personable. The kiosk on the table is not user friendly and she had to help us.

But, needs a better house lime margarita. Their margarita is too sweet and lacks tequila flavor. We had several different tacos and all were good! Portions were a proper size.....not huge! We also tasted a couple flights out premium tequilas which was fun. Flights were prepared with a couple extras and presented well. Service was excellent.

We have eaten there several times. The first time we split the Mexican Sub and it was delicious and would order again. Since then we have ordered different things - Cuban Sub, Chicken Burrito (too much rice, not enough chicken), Beef Tacos (beef was a little dried out). They were good but not great. Place is clean, service is good and friendly, prices are reasonable so we will return and keep looking for another delicious experience. What fun!
