Things to do in Guerrero Negro
Clean and bright, tablecloths, food prepared with care; not greasy or sloppy. Good presentation, fair value. This appears to be part of the Hotel Terra Sal.Coffee to go is out for self-service, which is great for whale watchers on the go!Suggestions: Not sure how long this restaurant has been open, but training will enhance the experience. I had breakfast and was one of the first of the morning customers. The food was properly prepared and tasty. Food delivered warm, not hot/not cold, but I don't know if that's a kitchen or service issue. Skimpy portions... one small scoop of beans left the plate looking empty. This place is perfect for the less adventurous visitors who are looking for a straightforward meal.
We arrived to Guerrero Negro from California. We were looking for a place to eat and a local recommended this place to us.They were getting ready to close but they welcomed us in. The food was delicious, but I have to warn you the portions are huge! We had everything from tacos, tostadas, enchiladas and super torta. But according to locals, this place is popular for its pozole and menudo.I was surprised this is not on TA, so I wrote a review, hopefully it gets accepted.
My husband and I always eat here when driving down the Baja. The tacos and the ceviche are outstanding. They bring two types of salsa to the table and they are both delicious (one spicy and one not as much). The service is prompt and there is indoor seating out of the wind and flies which are sometimes a problem.

Not real fancy, just good food. A clean place with good parking and friendly staff. Plenty of space. Solid for this town. Open all day.

As the title says, we stopped for dinner, (because it was on the hotel property) and went back for breakfast. They were open early enough for us, as we wanted to get on the road early. The dinner was good enough, that we went back for breakfast. Coffee was very good and plentiful. We had a nice breakfast, omlette, toast and fresh fruit.Service was nice and friendly. It is Mexico, things weren't fast.

I ate at this restaurant twice. It was surprisingly delicious. Apparently all the chefs in town started at Malarrimo. It's pricey for the area, though not so much for Americans. The fish was fresh and delicious. I love the ceviche.Breakfast was good. Rushed because we were heading out for a whale watching tour, but it was good food, clean and healthy. I'll be back.

On our road trip to Loreto, we stopped to see the whales and because this is the number #1 restaurant in Guerrero Negro we had to check it out. I'm so glad we did. First off their margaritas are excellent. But even better was the guacamole. They give you an ample portion and it is an excellent recipe. Then we ordered the grilled halibut and the grilled shrimp in butter with garlic. OMG! Both were EXCELLENT. While Guerrero Negro doesn't have much going on except for the whales, I would STRONGLY recommend that people stop here to eat when passing through.

Well worth the two block side drive off the main drag!Very attentive server however, this particular person spoke zero English! Facility is old school Mexico and delightful. Prices reflect the quality and decor/ setting. We were pleased to have a nice appetizer delivered prior to our lunch! My tacos dorado were delicious!Wife had the Scallops! Said they were the best ever!
